It pays to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber at the beginning and end of each month. As per usual, they roll out three new free games for the month and typically announce them ahead of time so gamers can get ready. However, we have the inside scoop on the free PlayStation Plus games for July and there's a good chance you'll want to play them all. Nonetheless, the three free PlayStation Plus games for July are Alan Wake Remastered, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Endling – Extinction is Forever.

Although these are leaks, and have yet to be announced on the PlayStation Blog, they are rarely wrong. As a result, we're quite confident these are three free PlayStation Plus games for July. And let's hope so, because this is arguably the strongest trio of free games yet. With a great Remaster, a classic FPS entry, and an emotional tearjerker, the PlayStation Plus free game lineup for July has you covered across the board. Even better, they are all up for grabs on PS4 and PS5.

Where To Start?

PlayStation Plus games July

If you haven't played the original Alan Wake, then we highly recommend the remaster. That's not just because it's a great game, but it's also coming in at perfect timing. The sequel, Alan Wake II is set to launch October 17 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. It's one of the most highly anticipated sequels set to release this year, so might as well jump on the bandwagon before it takes off.

Aside from that, if you have the time, we highly recommend Endling – Extinction is Forever. This indie game casts you as the world's last mother fox. Your sole mission is to survive the harsh and brutal world while attempting to keep your kin alive. We're not going to lie: it hits you right in the feels. But, if you're looking for a relaxing and emotional game to play on a lonely night, this is a great choice.

Aside from those great story-driven games, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a great title to mix in some FPS action. Nonetheless, those are three free PlayStation Plus games for July. And, with all of them being excellent choices, your biggest challenge will be deciding which one to start with. Alan Wake, *Cough, Cough*.

So, what's your take? Will you be getting your hands on any of the above PlayStation Plus freebies coming this July? Let us know your thoughts over on our socials here.

When the Xbox Series X|S was first released, it was once again competing with Sony and their next-generation console, the PlayStation 5. Both have been the go-to names in the console scene for as long as we can remember, and have held a long turf war since. However, when the Xbox Series X|S launched, it shared many launch titles with the PlayStation 5, making this turf war a relatively even playing field when the next-gen consoles were first released.

Both consoles have now diversified with a handful of exclusives. However, for its initial release, launch titles were a critical selling point. That's why we'd like to know which Xbox Series X|S launch titles are still noteworthy two years later. Well, our picks are in, and it's a pretty enticing lineup that we wish we could freshly dive into and experience for the first time again. Curious about what Xbox Series X|S launch titles we're talking about? Let's dive in, and see who made the cut.

5. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

YouTube Video

Most of us can say that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360 was our first and best Call of Duty experience. It's no secret that the game thrived on the console with its constant fast-playing and chaotic gameplay. And, while we're discussing it, a pre-game lobby comparable to that notion. Nonetheless, Call of Duty and Xbox have always gone hand in hand, so it was a virtual certainty that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War would release as a launch title for the Xbox Series X|S.

Following the Black Ops line of Call of Duty games developed by Activision, Cold War was a noteworthy entry to the series. It delivered a small but notable campaign, with one epic cutscene that will forever be engraved in our minds. With that, a tirelessly fun multiplayer that we could grind day and night. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War may not have been the most notable in the series, but it surely is one of the more memorable Xbox Series X|S launch titles.

4. Yakuza: Like a Dragon

YouTube Video

If you want to be a crime-fighting member of the Yakuza family, the Yakuza series has always been a noteworthy RPG. And, one of the game's best entries, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, truly brought that to life as a lunch title for Xbox Series X|S. That's why we're glad we got to experience it and the beautiful visuals it depicts in the city streets of Yokohoma, Japan, with the graphic performance of the Xbox Series X|S. Yes, that means sweet, smooth 60 FPS.

Aside from that, Yakuza: Like a Dragon introduced an original story. Ichiban Kasuga, who is still working his way up the ranks, is forced to take the fall for a crime he did not commit. This leaves him to clear his name or fight for his life trying. Which made for a pretty captivating narrative, and to go with it, the combat was refined better than in any previous entry. As a result, we got a memorable Yakuza launch title that we're still talking about today.

3. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition

YouTube Video

If you know of the Devil May Cry series, then you're familiar with the game's exaggerated and over-the-top gameplay of demon hunters fighting demons. Which is a concept that any gamer can get excited about because the gameplay to go with it is absolutely remarkable. That's why, when Capcom announced that they were creating a Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition as a lunch title to Xbox Series X|S, we were all ecstatic. Just the thought of how the gameplay would look and feel on the upgraded system was enough of a selling point for us.

This was entirely the case. Devil May Cry 5 and all of its glory were only enhanced on the Xbox Series X|S, and who could say no to getting back into the game's action gameplay? Especially when you get to experience its excessive combat with a much more refined look and feel at 60 FPS. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition ranks in this list of launch titles because it showcased the significant improvement in graphic and gameplay potential the Xbox Series X|S had over, playing the original game, on the Xbox One.

2. Watch Dogs: Legion

YouTube Video

Ubisoft jumped on the Xbox Series X|S launch title bandwagon right away. Clearly, two of their games are vying for the top two launch titles on our list. But our pick for second place is Watch Dogs: Legion. Yes, the rebellious hacker game is back, but this time it's set in the open-world of London. Which Ubisoft undoubtedly intended, as the cityscape literally and metaphorically came to life in this game. That is, it came to life as a result of you taking over and being able to play as any NPC character in the game.

This made you feel like you were part of the crowd, even though we knew deep down that our true intention was to use this team to bring down the technological fascist state of London depicted in the game. Regardless, assembling a hand-picked squad of resistance heroes made the task more appealing. Rather than bearing the burden alone. All of this was refreshing for this installment in the series, but what really captivated us was how well Ubisoft tailored the game for the Xbox Series X|S.

1. Assassin's Creed Valhalla

YouTube Video

What better way for Ubisoft to deliver a lunch title than to follow up on a series that has been a part of the Xbox family since the Xbox 360 days? Evidently, there was no better way, since Assassin's Creed Valhalla clearly stood out as the best offering among all the Xbox Series X|S launch titles. It continued the epic Assassin's Creed series, but this time it dated back to the age of Vikings and imperial conquest.

This resulted in a completely reworked gameplay that felt true to the originals while also having its own authentic feel. And, to be honest, there's too much we can say about how fantastic the game's open-world looks on next-generation consoles. It's a constant art museum of screenshots that really showed how much further the Xbox Series X|S was getting in pushing the boundaries of gaming on console. If we had to pick just one of the Xbox Series X|S launch titles, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is without a hesitant question, our pick.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our top five? Are there other Xbox Series X|S launch titles that we should know about? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

The PS5 is a revolutionary bit of kit, that's for sure. It's also Sony's flagship product, and one that proudly hoists the colors for the brand's ever-evolving arm of technological innovations. The fact that it has sold well over 20 million units in its two-year lifespan, of course, speaks volumes for its popularity, and how one product can change the face of the gaming world.

Anyway, one of the reasons for its overwhelming success is the abundance of launch titles that it released with, along with the awfully generous PS Plus Essentials collection, which initially came free with the purchase of every console. But which games were the best, and which of them still hold their spot today as PlayStation 5's best-selling launch titles? Well, here's how we see it.

5. Astro's Playroom

YouTube Video

Astro's Playroom is a 3D platformer that claims its place as being PS5's introductory video game. Like a tour guide, its purpose is to navigate players through a series of levels, all completely PlayStation-themed, and showcase the power of the console and all its functions. For this reason, it's almost assumed that new owners of the console will dive right into it before exploring other worlds. And they'd be right to, as the cutesy platformer has more to offer than most other games in its genre.

Astro's Playroom provides you with a hub to not only hone your newfound skills, but store and discover countless trinkets and collectibles. By completing various actions and levels, you will have the chance to build a cabinet full of historical artefacts and untold stories from PlayStation's primitive years. Basically, it's an all-in-one communal area for die-hard fans of the brand. And let's face it, that's everything anyone could want and more — especially to help raise the hype before embarking on quests beyond the hub.

4. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

YouTube Video

Call of Duty is in receipt of some of the biggest and most ambitious first-person shooters of all time, and we know for a fact that anyone who's ever grazed a pad will have played at least one of them at some point. Due to its outstanding reputation as one of the genre's torchbearers, it was only natural that the PS5 received its presence come launch day. And it did, with Black Ops Cold War lighting the way for a new generation of war-themed tales.

Black Ops Cold War brings a fresh lick of paint to a dying art, using the PS5's phenomenal performance to showcase the spoils of war in their rawest form. With a relatively short but compelling campaign to bolster its famous multiplayer front, the game fires on all cylinders as the next first-person shooter masterpiece in motion. It's effortlessly flawless, and thanks to Sony's impeccable design and attention to detail, it shines brightest on the PS5.

3. Watch Dogs: Legion

YouTube Video

Ubisoft's hackable universe, Watch Dogs, passed over to the new generation with flying colors, complete with a major graphical overhaul and a number of technical enhancements. Legion, being the third instalment in the timeline, capitalized on the series' award-winning formula by turning the whole of London into an open world jungle, where millions of citizens could be recruited and played as.

Watch Dogs has seen a plethora of changes over the years, a lot of which have helped to develop the niche it tries so desperately hard to hone. All of this eventually came together with the latest entry, and The Big Smoke of the UK enveloped all of the greatest qualities in one comprehensive package. The PS5, of course, was just a vessel for such quality.

2. Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered

YouTube Video

Marvel's Spider-Man is hands down one of Sony's most sought-after exclusives of all time. It's also the reason why countless Xbox users have parted ways with their primary consoles and established a home away from home with the PS4, and eventually, the PS5. Though, of course, it's incredibly easy to see why, as the open world action-adventure title boasts some of the cleanest graphics and combat mechanics in modern gaming. And that's just putting it lightly.

From the slinkiness of the web-slinging maneuvers to the treasure trove of action-packed activities, Marvel's Spider-Man brought countless jaw-droppingly invigorating features to the table, all of which helped to solidify the PlayStation 5's newfound reputation. And even today, four years after its debut, the game still plays remarkably well on base consoles. As if we ever had any doubt.

1. Assassin's Creed Valhalla

YouTube Video

For every pre-release there's a poster child, one that often sways the verdict by showcasing the technical aspects of the hardware in question and its newly established functions. For the PS5, many would say it was Assassin's Creed Valhalla that presented its key qualities. And to be fair, they'd be right to think that, as it was, at least at the time, the best-looking game on the market.

Of course, Ubisoft knows all too well which ingredients are needed to brew an award-winning broth, and going by that, Valhalla is conjured by what can only be described as culinary giants. It is, without a doubt, the sharpest open world games on the PS5, made even more impressive by the near-perfect combat, engrossing narrative, and historical accuracies that the series has been celebrated for since the dawn of the brand.

Call of Duty's newest title, Vanguard wasn't exactly a hit. The game more so flopped in terms of sales and overall reviews, however, it still brought that fun fast-paced FPS gameplay that is Call of Duty. Despite that, a lot of gamers didn't find the game to live up to its expectations and instead are turning to other WWII-inspired titles. And if it's WWII-inspired FPS you're looking for we got you covered with the most comparable and best games like Vanguard.

A lot of these games are inspired by the true events of WWII and look to replicate them to the best of their ability. This means no shortage of FPS action and adrenaline-rushing combat. So if you weren't quite impressed with Call of Duty: Vanguard, then the five best games like it, should fill that void.

5. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Black Ops Cold War was the Call of Duty installment released one year before Vanguard. Although it didn't receive the same praise that Vanguard got, the game still feels very similar. This is most likely due to the fact that Activision is the publisher of both titles. And the fact that both games use the same IW engine. So if you're looking for that fast-paced, run-and-gun-style FPS, then Cold War is a solid option.

Despite the game not grossing too successfully, it has gotten a lot of improvements since its release in 2022. With that, a lot of talk around the Call of Duty community mentioned the game has improved substantially from the time of its release. This has attracted a lot of players back to the game, and it may be worth it since Call of Duty will be skipping its annual release this year. That just means you have more time to grind Cold War if you've already exerted your time in Vanguard.

4. Hell Let Loose

If you're looking for more of the WWII-inspired gameplay that was consistent in Vanguard, try out Hell Let Loose. The game is a platoon-based realistic FPS, set in WWII. You will definitely notice a huge difference in gameplay, as you won't be slide canceling in this FPS. Or for that matter, running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Instead, you will be working with your assigned platoon, clearing out open fields of battle, but at a moment's notice, it will turn. Once your location is revealed, expect infantry, tanks, and all types of artillery to be bombarded you're way. This makes for a great deal of strategy in the game until you get into combat. Once the fight's begun, well it really is like hell is let loose. Hell Let Loose may not have the same feel as Vanguard, but its plot is nearly identical as both work as an FPS set in WWII.

Order Here

3. Battlefield V

With how poorly Battlefield 2042 runs, and the fact that it's set a century after WWII, I don't feel it's a comparable game to Vanguard. However, its predecessor, Battlefield V doe's a lot better job. If it's WWII inspiration you want, then turn to the “War Stories” in Battlefield V. These are single-player story modes that are inspired by true events of WWII, and play like a movie. With that, the storyline follows a very similar suit to Vanguard.

Instead of being a part of special forces in Vanguard, you will be with the resistance in Battlefield V. So just like Vanguard, you can find yourself going on a lot of top-secret missions, that eventually turn into firefight gameplay. And if it's worth mentioning, I feel the Battlefield V storyline is much better than Vanguards, with its WWII depiction and immersion.

Even if you're here for the multiplayer aspect of Vanguard, Battlefield V has this covered as well. There are very similar games modes, such as Conquest, Domination, and Outpost, but on rather big-scale maps. Both Battlefield V and Call of Duty: Vanguard have very similar plots and for that matter a similar fast-paced FPS style. You are sure to get a similar experience from Battlefield V and with that a very enjoyable one.

2. Enlisted

The freshest face to the WWII FPS scene is Enlisted. Released in 2021, Enlisted focuses on squad-based combat around WWII's major battles. The gameplay feels like a combination of Hell Let Loose's graphic style with the fast-paced FPS movement of Vanguard. Giving a great blend of high-intense fast pace action, and skillful decision-making.

That's what's so great about Enlisted, one life you can be clearing out trenches with a flame thrower, and the next, blowing up artillery in an aircraft, or cruising around in a Tank. Or maybe you feel like you're in Saving Private Ryan and want to post up in a bell tower to snipe. Enlisted has all this and more, offering a really immersive WWII experience. Oh, and did I mention it's free?

1. Call of Duty: WWII

If you want the most iconic, and comparable experience to Vanguard, then head back to Call of Duty: WWII. The game was made back in 2017 with the same developers of Vanguard, Sledgehammer Games, and Raven Software. You could even argue that Vanguard feels like a re-skinned version of Call of Duty WWII, with new features.

The good news is that Call of Duty: WWII didn't fail, and fans were really happy with its release. Still to this day the game has a solid community of players who simply enjoy the title for its gameplay and style. Also for the fact that it has a great rendition of Zombies, which many gamers are turning to the game for. It's undoubtedly the most comparable Call of Duty game to Vanguard, and I would argue that it's better.

So what are your thoughts? Is there another game you would compare to Vanguard? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

The launch of the PlayStation 5 in 2020 came with many big-name titles, such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, the real-time for the PlayStation 5 to shine and show its true potential was in 2021. Games were being freshly optimized and a handful of exclusives got released. It almost felt like I could barely get through one game before the next big title was released. I'm not complaining though.

The only issue is the majority of gamers don't have the time or money to play every title they want. Most of us have to pick and choose the titles we feel are worth spending our precious time on. Choosing the best out of a sea of titles can be difficult, but that's why we're here. Comparing everything from major company ratings, user reviews, and personal experience to give you a list of games that you surely don't want to miss out on. After a lot of careful consideration, we have narrowed down the top five games of 2021 for PS5.

5. Resident Evil Village

YouTube Video

The Resident Evil series has been a constant succession of compelling horror combined with an arching narrative. Every game in the series has been an improvement from the last, and the same goes for Resident Evil Village. The game feels and plays very similar to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, but with strong ties to Resident Evil 4. What do I mean? Capcom used the same RE Engine from Resident Evil 7, so mechanically the game presents itself with the same smooth feeling.

Instead of building up to the action, Resident Evil Village throws you right into it. Once again playing as Ethan Winters you will constantly feel a sense of haste and anxiousness as you progress through the game. You almost always have an unsettling feeling of being watched that will constantly make you look over your shoulder. Part of this has to give credit to a whole new list of disturbing enemies that will make your skin crawl at first encounter.

If you enjoy the story-driven horror genre, then Resident Evil Village is a must-buy.

4. Death's Door

YouTube Video

One of the most overlooked titles of 2021 was Death's Door. This could be because the protagonist you play as is a crow. Yes, I will repeat myself — you play as a crow. It's a shame that most people may have turned their backs to this game for that reason because it has a lot to offer. Death's Door is a beautifully designed 3D, top-down Indie game with a great feel to it. The skill gap is at the perfect level where it's addicting to master, and rewarding when fluently achieved.

The game consists of exploration, puzzles, and a solid amount of action and combat to keep you on your toes. You find yourself on a mission to retrieve a soul that is vital to the crow's existence in the living realm. It feels rather simplistic at first but as you go on the story starts to unravel and reveal more of a mystery. By this point, you will find yourself completely immersed.

All the while, taking the topic of death and looking at it in a light-hearted and encompassing way. If you're into Indie games that have a unique feel and make you rethink your approach to life and death for this matter, then definitely check out Death's Door.

3. It Takes Two

YouTube Video

It Takes Two is a co-op action-adventure  platformer that will appeal to every type of gamer. Even non-gamers can play with a friend and find a lot of amusement from this game. That is because the amount of variation across the levels is incomparable. No area feels similar to the other, and every situation you face is challenging and unique. On top of this, both players have their own role to play for each level but can't complete it without one another, therefore making the progress feel like an individual accomplishment but an overall team effort.

The game builds off of the story of two parents who are getting divorced but find themselves magically turned into two dolls. The plot may not be that thick, but the emotions are. Every level in the game has an overarching connection to rebuilding the parent's relationship. Full of metaphors and hidden meaning, the game is reflective in re-establishing a connection and bringing out the best in each other.

2. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart

YouTube Video

I hope you're ready to save the universe as Ratchet and Clank, again. PlayStation's long-time favorite exclusive Ratchet and Clank finally saw a new installment to the series after five years. I don't blame Insomniac games though, since Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is another home run for the company. The time they dedicate to handcrafting beautifully artistic and emotionally story-driven games show.

Even if you're new to the series, Ratchet, and Clank: Rift Apart is easy to pick up and fall in love with. There are so many likable characters, encapturing scenic moments, and enjoyable combat with funky new weapons. Even better, the game runs like a gem on PS5 in smooth 60 FPS.

If you're a fan of story games with a riveting narrative and a fun playstyle, then pick up this game. It Takes Two is one of the most highly discussed titles of 2021, and exceeded user expectations.

1. Returnal

YouTube Video

It's only fitting that a PlayStation 5 exclusive, such as Returnal makes the number one spot on this list. Returnal is a newly developed game for PS5 that is full of fast-paced, riveting action. I will admit the game can be challenging at times, but it's also those moments that make it so inviting. The game crash lands you on a planet that is a mystical jungle, full of intriguing creatures. Don't get too friendly with them though, cause I can assure you they aren't looking to befriend you in the slightest.

That's where the weapons come in, which are just a spectacle on their own. Shooting a multitude of different lasers, particles, and explosions that are full of vibrant colors. Visually the game is amazing in every aspect. Even better, the gameplay feels fast, and the combat plays even faster. It would be hard not to enjoy your time with this game as it is every bit creative and intriguing as it is fun.

If you take a look at the first-person shooter domain from a birds-eye view, then you're most definitely going to spot Call of Duty shining bright as the most prominent marker. Of course, being one of the most talked-about series in the competitive gaming world, it only makes sense that the platform surrounding the franchise would employ such a glimmering light. But status aside, it is worth pointing out that Call of Duty, as a whole, is still one of the best games to immerse in as an eSports follower. And we'll tell you why.

Apart from Call of Duty being a household name in the gaming community, it's also one of the most influential in the eSports domain, too. Thanks to its unchanged recipe for success and winning algorithms — the FPS hit has gone on to host spectacular events with serious cash payouts for both players and bettors.

Call of Duty: In a Nutshell

Like other first-person shooters, Call of Duty primarily focuses on its multiplayer front. As well as hosting 4v4 matches and the standard modes you'd expect to find in an FPS title, Call of Duty also boasts immersive campaigns that spread over various platforms of war. However, when it comes to drawing a crowd and capturing the raw emotion from the frontlines of battle, it's undeniably the spool of nail-biting multiplayer modes that hit the nail of the head.

As of 2021, Call of Duty is mostly centred around two of its most recent instalments, Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Tournament-wise, these are the two entries that tend to pull the bulkier crowds and pay out much higher rates. And so, before placing any form of bet on one of the following games — doing that little extra research is most definitely encouraged. Failing that, then a genuine interest in battle royale events is essential, as these are the grounds for the Warzone chapter.

Game Modes Explained

Similar to previous entries in the Call of Duty catalogue, Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, both of which are heavily centred at the moment, are fleshed out with several cherished modes. That said, there are really only three that you'll need to unearth before placing a wager.

Standing at the pinnacle of the collection, of course, is Search and Destroy, which has been the pack leader ever since Call of Duty found its mark on the multiplayer front. And then, following on from that, there is Hardpoint and Control — both of which are heavily played in the current competitive field.

Search and Destroy

It's fair to say that Search and Destroy is probably the go-to mode for Call of Duty regulars. With both teams on either side of two bomb sites, one faction must look to defend the two unique sites, while the opposing army must fight to destroy them. The downside, of course, is that each player is saddled with just a single life — meaning the tide can quite easily turn at any given moment. As it stands, Search and Destroy games are played in a first-to-six format.

Hardpoint

Similar to Headquarters, Hardpoint features a series of markers on the map that both warring factions must fight to defend and, in turn, rack up points. Throughout the match, the markers known as ‘hardpoints' spread across the area, and each team must secure the place and idle as the points stack. However, should a player fall and the hardpoint be left without anyone to hold the ground — the points grind to a halt. Holding the fort for one-second amounts to one point, sixty seconds through and the hardpoint moves. The first team to hit 250 points wins the match. Simple.

Control

Another mode that players tend to favour in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is Control, which was originally introduced back in 2018 in Black Ops 4. Similar to Capture The Flag, Control puts a single team in charge of two areas across the map, with a second team fighting to reclaim them. If the attackers successfully claim both bases within the allotted time limit, then they win the match. However, if the team defending the areas is to defeat their opponents thirty times, or if the clock runs out — then that team will claim victory.

Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game that launched back in 2020.

The Platforms

As it stands today, Call of Duty League, which is undeniably the biggest platform for the game, must be played on PC using a controller that is pre-approved by the League board beforehand. Apart from that, competitive events for either Call of Duty game can be played on any major format. Of course, thanks to the cross-platform functionality, players are able to match with other hardware users without any added bolt-ons. However, it has been said that PC users hold the greater advantage, as gameplay-wise, Call of Duty boasts much higher frame rates and sharper gameplay.

Stacking Against the Odds

Unfortunately, as with any FPS entry, trying to pinpoint the victor before a game begins can be a little challenging. That said, it's always worth casting your eye on the underdog of the squadron, as a single kill from an unknown player can quite easily turn the tide of the battle and count for a lot more than you'd expect. Apart from that, it's always worth digging into the background of the players, and even spooling through the gameplay clips that the professional collective uploads regularly to Twitch.

Conveniently, all statistics can be found on Call of Duty eSports Wiki, where you can uncover the number of wins, losses and an overall history of each competitive player. And so, with that, it's definitely worth flicking through the roster and narrowing down a top-five collection.

Tournaments & Prize Pools

Typically, Call of Duty prize pools boast upwards of $5 million, as well as the champion's trophy that stems from the annual Call of Duty League event. First launching in 2019 with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare striking the match, Call of Duty League has continued to expand its horizons and pour more rewards into its prize pools over the years. As of today, the annual tournament is considered to be one of the most globally recognised events in the eSports community.
