Suppose Venom and the colossal beasts in Jurassic Park had a baby. In that case, we'd have an uncanny apocalyptic season that would definitely wipe out half of humanity. But since that's all fictitious, how about experiencing this terror in a game?

Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess is an upcoming title that is a fresh bun in Capcom's oven. This studio needs no introduction since they are the masterminds behind the greatest hits in the gaming industry; Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, etc.

Capcom unveiled the game during the Xbox Games Showcase, and the exciting news is that it'll be on Game Pass from day one. Want to find out more? Here's everything we know about Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess.

What is Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess?

Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess

Kunitsu Gami: Path of The Goddess is a horror-themed third-person action strategy game set in Japan. The game features a blend of Onimusha-like graphics. Onimusha, another title from Capcom is yet to see a new release since Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.

If you're new to the Onimusha scene, allow me to elaborate. The game’s environment draws heavily from Japanese artistic styles, themes, and cultural aesthetics, creating a visually distinct and immersive experience that reflects its Japanese feudal setting.

Now that you're all caught up, let's dive back in.

Capcom has released very little info about the game. Still, given the studio's impeccable streak, we may be in for another massive hit.

Story

Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess

From the gameplay trailer, it seems our protagonist, a male character of Japanese descent, will be going against perturbing monsters based on Japanese folklore. The game's plot tells a tale of a sacred mountain defiled by the residents who live on it. The mountain's ruin opens a portal that gives access to the spirited worlds.

Soon, blights known as The Seethe gain access through the portal, destroying the human world. To fix this, the Spirit Stone Maiden must perform a ritual with the help of a guide and a protector.

Aside from the above, we know we are in for an epic clash between man and the spirit realm. Also in the purview of the studio's game history, Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess is said to be a spiritual successor of Shinsekai: Into the Depths and Okami.

From the horse's mouth:

“Fend off foul creatures and lead the Spirit Stone Maiden on her path. Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess is a brand new title which upholds Capcom's legacy of original and innovative works. This labor of love follows in the tradition of truly unique titles such as Okami and Shinsekai – Into the Depths. Explore an incredible world in which traditional Japanese aesthetics are brought to stunning life by the power of RE Engine. Enjoy a unique gameplay experience blending action and strategy. Witness an epic clash between the spirit realm and mortal man.”

Gameplay

Speaking during their Showcase, Capcom revealed that the new IP, inherent in Japanese folklore theme, is a single-player action RPG. You play as the masked protagonist whose role is to fight off the Seethe, who are drawn to the corrupted flora and fauna. The Seethe are a colossal impediment to the Spirit Stone Maiden's task, which is to perform a rite that cleanses and restores the land.

The trailer shows the protagonist using his sword to create a clear path for the maiden. The hero also uses a hack-and-slash attack in addition to melee techniques. It's pretty evident this game will harmoniously mold together the precise art of strategic strikes.

Without a doubt, this enigmatic Kunitsu-Gami title emerges as a daring and boundary-pushing venture reminiscent of an indie gem within Capcom's portfolio. The enthralling artistic aesthetics undoubtedly captures your attention. But to be fair,  a deeper dive into the gameplay mechanics would have truly elevated the experience.

Development

From what we know so far, Shuichi Kawata is piecing the game together. Shuichi is the pioneer of most Capcom streaking games, including Shinsekai: Into the Depths Resident Evil 4 & 5, and plenty of other projects at Capcom. What's more, this is the latest project from Capcom Dev 1. The same department handled the swift and successful release of Devil May Cry and Resident Evil.

To top it off, the RE engine powers the game. For those unfamiliar with this engine, it's a mastermind creation by Capcom. The engine was originally created for Resident Evil: Biohazard. However, the studio has used it for other games, including Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter.

YouTube Video

In case you missed it, Capcom graced us with a first glimpse of the upcoming Japanesque game. The studio unveiled the game's first trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase. Aside from the picturesque visuals, the trailer also briefly showcases the gameplay. Need we say more? Why don't you see it for yourself in the video above?

Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess is coming to Windows, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Capcom is yet to delve into the enigmatic abyss and unveil when we should expect the game. However, speculation suggests the game will see the light of day in 2024.

Given the staggeringly high amount of praise that the Resident Evil 4 Remake received, it makes sense that Capcom would ideally want to swiftly move on to Resident Evil 5 next, right? Well, as it turns out, the studio’s next project won’t actually be the most logical choice, but the item that fans of the brand select in a survey posted to social media. Makes sense, I suppose.

Of course, the blatant contenders in this particular situation are both Resident Evil 5, and Code: Veronica. Another request that’s been making its rounds, surprise surprise, is the ever-popular Dino Crisis. That said, with Exoprimal carrying that very torch in memory of the PlayStation cult classic, we can pretty much chalk that one out of the draw at this point.

It goes without saying that, with the amount of momentum the rebooted versions of Resident Evil has  conjured these past few years, remaking Resident Evil 5 just seems like the natural thing to do. But then, until the fans have officially spoken and a final vote has been cast, it’s honestly hard to say what IP the acclaimed developer will dig up next.

When Is Resident Evil 5 Remake Coming Out?

Whatever the case may be, it’s fair to say that Capcom, being the workaholics they are, aren’t likely to draw their focus onto another instalment in the Resident Evil saga just yet, anyway. Matter of fact, between this very moment and the likelihood of seeing the fifth remake come knocking idles several half-finished projects. So, if you’re going to get your hopes up for anything — make sure it’s the survey’s final reading coming sooner rather than later.

Interested in filling out your vote? You can submit your answer over on the survey posted here. We’ll be sure to let you know just as soon as Capcom sheds light on its next working title. Until then, it’s merely the case of crossing fingers and twiddling thumbs.

So, what’s your take? Do you think we’ll be seeing Resident Evil 5 hit the shelves at any point next year? Let us know your thoughts over on our socials here.

Video game developer and publisher Capcom has reported that its latest release, Resident Evil 4 Remake, has sold more than 3 million copies in just two days after its launch.

In a statement, the company described the achievement  as “off to a solid start.” The game's impressive sales numbers represent an improvement over the initial performance of other recent titles in the series. Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 2 Remake took four days after release to sell over 3 million copies each. Additionally, Capcom announced that the Resident Evil series has sold over 135 million units since its debut in 1996.

Resident Evil 4 Remake has made an excellent start on Steam, setting a new record for concurrent players. According to Steamdb, the title recorded 168,191 concurrent players on its launch day alone. Resident Evil 4 Remake may soon become one of the best-selling titles in the franchise.

The original Resident Evil 4 launched in 2005. Capcom reworked the storyline and modernized the gameplay experience. The 2023 release uses Capcom's RE ENGINE, a cutting-edge graphics technology, to create highly immersive visuals for players. Capcom says the game has received high scores on online review sites. The publisher attributes the 3 million sales to the Chainsaw Demo, which allowed players to experience the game's opening.

“The title garnered praise and attention following the release of the Chainsaw Demo, in which players could enjoy the opening of the game, resulting in worldwide sales of the title surpassing 3 million units in the first two days after the game’s release,“ the statement read in part.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is now available for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

For a long time running, Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise bore the mantle of delivering enthralling, high-octane action with their fine lineup of the fantasy-themed series. But now, we have a new kid on the block, and it seems Wild Hearts may be taking the top spot after all. Monster Hunter games are a beloved franchise, with multiple games attempting to reinvent the wheel under their premise. While some games may tweak the gameplay, the foundation remains the same; you must slay the monsters to win.

However, Wild Hearts introduces an interesting new twist to the slaying franchise. Frankly speaking, this new addition might actually give the Monster Hunter franchise a run for its money. That aside, now that you are here, it's best to use facts to deduce which is better. Is it Monster Hunter Rise for its Wirebug system or Wild Hearts for its Karakuri system? Let's find out below.

What is Wild Hearts?

Wild Hearts is an action RPG by Omega Force set in a feudal Japan-inspired world known as Azuma. The game was released on PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S platforms in February 2023. Players take on the role of a skilled hunter, tracking down massive supernatural beasts known as Kemono. The Kemonos are an awful lot, causing havoc and enormous wrecks wherever they're present. To restore tranquility to the city of Minator, a nameless hunter must arise and heed the task.

The world of Azuma is not an open world. However, it consists of vast areas with unique landmarks and features, as seen in Monster Hunter Rise. Moreover, players get access to eight different weapons and can craft items for use in combat using the Karakuri technique. The Karakuri is the first of its kind to feature in a monster hunter franchise. It adds a touch of thrill to combat, breaking away from the monotony of slack and hack.

What is Monster Hunter Rise?

Monster Hunter Rise is a role-playing action game by Capcom. The game is the sixth title in the Monster Hunter franchise that continues the narrative of monster slaying while adding a few elements and features. The game was initially released on the Nintendo Switch in March 2021 and later ported to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms in January 2023.

Like in previous games in the series, the player assumes the role of a Hunter on a quest to capture and slay the colossal beasts. Players can use weapons, tools, and even the environment to inflict damage on the abominable beasts. Some weapons are crafted from loot received after a successful takedown of the beasts. The haul typically includes monster parts, which are a solid foundation for crafting weapons against the invincible beasts. This represents the game's core loop.

Moreover, Monster Hunter Rise adds a new technique that enhances the player's mobility across the zoned map. The Wirebug, a replica of the Clutch Caw in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, lets the player perform grappling activities from great distances and has other perks.

What are the Main Differences Between Wild Hearts and Monster Hunter Rise?

Wild Hearts Vs Monster Hunter Rise (1)

Right off the bat, Wild Hearts and Monster Hunter Rise are vastly different games catering to diverse audiences. For starters, Wild Hearts features a more fluid and fast-paced gameplay compared to its counterpart. Monster Hunter Rise's action adventure may seem tedious owing to its relatively slow gameplay. So if you prefer breakneck action, Wild Hearts is a better choice.

Aside from that, the two games have other striking differences, as detailed below:

Stylized Techniques

As mentioned earlier, the two games feature new techniques that ideally transform the Monster Hunter experience. Wild Heart's Karakuri building technique allows players to craft items using Karakuri threads. You can source the threads from monsters you slay or from the environment. Players can leverage the crafted items during battle for a superior advantage. For instance, crafting a torch may set a Kemono ablaze.

On the other hand, players of Monster Hunter Rise will relish the Wirebug technique. Aside from helping you cover more ground quickly, the Wirebug interacts with different weapons, adding a touch of unique combos and attacks. What's more, the Wirebugs also help players mount fallen Kemonos, inflicting more damage in the process.

Hearty Companions

What's a battle without a loyal aide? In Wild Hearts, players can befriend Tsukumos, which are tiny Karakuri you'll encounter. The Tsukumo prove their worth in immeasurable ways. For starters, they can lend a hand in attacking a Kemono. Alternatively, you can use them as bait to launch a surprise attack on the monsters. Moreover, the small companions can heal you and provide additional Karakuri threads.

In Monster Hunters Rise, players are introduced to the Palicoes and Palamutes. The former is a long-running sidekick in the franchise, while the latter is a new addition that players can use for faster traversal.

Engaging Content

Although Wild Hearts has an interesting tale that spruces up its gameplay, its range of content doesn't match up to Monster Hunter Rise. This, of course, is due to the game being relatively new, while Monster Hunter Rise has had close to two years since its debut—plenty of time to release an expansion.

However, we anticipate fresh material from Omega Force soon, with the speculation that the expansion will be free. Until then, Monster Hunter Rise takes the lead on this one.

Co-op Gameplay

Wild Hearts allows a maximum of three players to engage in co-op gameplay. While this may be limiting for some players, developers were of the view that adding more players would make combat less challenging.

On the other hand, Monster Hunter Rise allows a maximum party size of four players in multiplayer mode.

Wild Hearts vs Monster Hunter Rise: Which is Better?

Wild Hearts Vs Monster Hunter Rise

This is a tough nut to crack, given that Wild Hearts is a new IP and Monster Hunter Rise is part of a series continuation. Notwithstanding, Wild Hearts ignites a fresh perspective on monster hunting with its Karakuri technique. In contrast, Monster Hunter Rise spices things up with the Wirebug.

It all boils down to what you are looking for. If you're looking for a game with more content and room for more players, then Monster Hunter Rise is for you. Alternatively, if you're seeking a fresh monster-slaying adventure, look no further than Wild Hearts.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our Wild Hearts vs Monster Hunter Rise verdict? Which of the two games do you prefer? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.

Street Fighter 6 is the upcoming sixth outstanding entry in the Street Fighter franchise by Capcom. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. The Taito Corporation will oversee an exclusive launch of the arcade version in Japan in 2023.

With the franchise releasing tons of trailers this year, it is only fitting to assume its launch will take place early next year. We speculate the release may happen on March 31st, 2023, during the EVO Japan Tournament.

Story

Street Fighter 6: Everything We Know

Although Street Fighter 5 was criticized for its dull and lengthy story mode, Capcom revamped the tale with the release of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. We can only anticipate a further compelling story with Street Fighter 6.

As with all other titles, the game's plot centers on playing as either Ryu or Ken. However, in the sixth installment, Ken Master's story gets a dramatic shift, which gives us the impression the previous titles downplayed his role.

After making his debut in the original Street Fighter, Ken Master's narrative progressed with every new title release. From taking on Sean Matsuda as his new protege to winning several championships for the United States and becoming a father. His coming-of-age story featured a bunch of emotional and triumphant twists and turns.

In Street Fighter 6, it gets more intense. We see Ken Masters attempt to rebuild his reputation after being accused of engaging in a criminal endeavor. This forces him to relinquish all he has, including his family and his executive role at his Masters Foundation. While placing Ken in the limelight may seem rushed, the game's predecessor DLC sheds more light on the turn of events in Street Fighter 6. Moreover, to help piece the events together, two characters from the Street Fighter V DLC make a return in the upcoming title.

Gameplay

The game will feature three modes; World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub. In addition, Capcom is introducing a fresh battle system mechanic known as Drive Gauge. The system is meant to inspire players' creativity with five techniques that will boost your offense or defense. The drive's mechanics are based on the franchise's existing mechanics, including focus attack, parry, or rush. From the horse's mouth (Capcom), “the Drive Impact will help players launch a powerful strike that absorbs an incoming attack, leading to a wall splat.”

Moreover, the game introduces two control schemes; classic and modern. While the former is a six-button layout witnessed in previous titles, the latter improves a player's accessibility. You can launch special moves using a single button that combines directional input.

Also, multiple super combos will feature in Street Fighter 6. However, as you may know, this only applies to players at certain levels.

Trailers

Capcom has been generous with giving fans a glimpse of the upcoming game. In September, the developer launched a trailer for its “World Tour Opening Movie,” dubbed “The Meaning of Strength.” The trailer gives a glimpse of the full roster of characters and an exciting, subtle glimpse of what Street Fighter 6 will center on. You can check it out below:

Moreover, the game's official announcement trailer during the State of Play in June 2022 introduced the upcoming title and gave fans a first look at the characters. The trailer also showcased Capcom's new art style and introduced a new character, Jamie.

The pre-order trailer debuted during The Game Awards 2022 and revealed an exciting line of new characters, with some old ones also making a comeback. You can view it below.

Additionally, during the Summer Game Fest, Capcom showcased the return of Guile. The trailer depicts the all-American World Warrior having a revamped look and a seamless integration of his V-Trigger skillset. The trailer also showcases some of his legendary moves, including the flash kick and sonic boom.

The Summer Game Fest also gave more insight into the game's FGC gameplay. The 25-minute playable video gives a detailed look into the Drive Impact Mechanics. You can view it below:

Moreover, Capcom also released a real-time commentary trailer for the upcoming game. The trailer made its debut during Sony's State of Play showcase.

Furthermore, Capcom released a pre-order trailer during The Game Awards 2022. The trailer reveals the game's launch date alongside a lineup of new characters. The trailer showcases Dee Jay making a comeback with fresh faces, Manon, JP, and Marisa, featuring in the upcoming title.

Street Fighter 6 Release Date, Platforms & Editions

Capcom has revealed the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4. The publisher unveiled the trailer, giving fans a taste of the remake during Capcom's Resident Evil showcase.

The trailer features Leon S. Kennedy as he discovers information regarding the president's daughter. We see Leon's first significant run-in with the infected Ganados villagers. He has to continuously shoot and flee to avoid being killed. We see Leon swiftly boarding up doors to give himself some time and leaping across rooftops to get away from his assailants.

YouTube Video

The trailer demonstrates the difference in the storyline and highlights how the gameplay is different. Following the trend of past remakes, Resident Evil 4 now lets you walk while shooting your gun. Since attackers can strike from a variety of angles and even hold you while others slash at you, Leon has learned to deflect blows with his knife. It appears that Leon will be able to use the terrain to his advantage and hide from his enemies.

Capcom stated that its intention is to pay respect to the original game's environment while incorporating fresh ideas and state-of-the-art graphics to improve the main themes of the title. According to the description, this “will provide a fresh experience with a sense of familiarity if you played the original, that both newcomers and veterans to Resident Evil 4 will enjoy”.

The publisher also announced that Resident Evil Village would be getting a demo for its upcoming third-person mode. The demo is now available on PlayStation , Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Both the game's Gold Edition and the forthcoming Winter's Expansion DLC will include the third-person mode. However, before purchasing, players will have the opportunity to try it out for 60 minutes for free.

Resident Evil 4 will launch on March 24th, 2023. Preorders are now open for the Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Editions.

What is your take? What do you think of the Resident Evil 4 remake? Are you looking forward to the game's release next year? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.

It's difficult to ignore Capcom's dying love for its award-winning video game IPs. In fact, the firm cherishes its past projects so much, that a great deal of time is devoted to rebuilding them using tools that were never originally available. That seems to be the way with Resident Evil, anyway, which has received the bulk of the studio's time since 2019. And now, well, Resident Evil 4 is on the cards, surprise, surprise.

Anyway, seeing as Capcom clearly has an interest in remaking old games using newer engines, we thought we'd chip in our two cents. What we really mean, of course, is that we have five Capcom games that we honestly think would make for stellar remakes. The chances of them happening, on the other hand, are pretty low, given the fact that they're a little outdated and no longer of interest to the gaming giant. Still, what we'd give to have these five returned to us on current-gen hardware.

5. Dead Rising

YouTube Video

Capcom is known for making excellent zombie games, as it has proven time and time again with its Resident Evil saga. Dead Rising, although nowhere near as prominent, has of course had a number of great moments in the spotlight, and has spawned quite a few sequels and spin-offs. But, in spite of the efforts made, nothing immersed us as much as the debut chapter did. Should that warrant a remake? I mean, yeah.

The last we saw of the ludicrously entertaining survival horror saga was in 2016 with Dead Rising 4. However, it just didn't gel well with the aesthetic of the franchise, and unfortunately drove the original charm down into the dirt. But Dead Rising, on the other hand, was a masterclass in motion, as well as a clean-cut example of how horror can mesh with mindless mayhem and not lose its spark. For that, we'd love to see it returned on a much, much bigger canvas.

4. Dino Crisis

YouTube Video

Ah yes, Dino Crisis, a game that Capcom takes great pleasure in dangling in front of us, but never puts aside to serve up on a silver platter. The hardest pill to swallow there, of course, is that Exoprimal, Capcom's newest dinosaur-themed game, will probably dismantle the chances of Dino Crisis ever getting a remake in the future. So, we might as well consider the fossil dead and buried, because Capcom evidently has no interest in digging it up anytime soon.

That all being said, the fans' momentum has remained at an all-time high ever since the PlayStation 2 came about. Not a lot has changed since, to be fair, though it's definitely a one-sided battle, as it has been since day one. And yet, a remake of the dino action-adventure game still idles as the top of most lists. It's just a crying shame Capcom refuse to act on it.

3. Marvel vs. Capcom

YouTube Video

Marvel vs. Capcom has been a popular fighting franchise for the best part of twenty years now, with entries dating way back to the mid-90s on PlayStation and Sega Saturn. But, with the last entry being put out in 2017, there's definitely an alluring itch that has yet to be scratched. A scratch that, in all fairness, could quite easily dissolve with a little TLC from its creators.

While fighting franchises do make up a huge chunk of the modern market, what with Mortal Kombat forever reigning over its combatants, there is definitely a soft spot that gets allocated to the likes of Marvel vs. Capcom, and it's something we'd honestly like to see more of. That isn't to say we want a whole line of sequels or anything, but a HD collection of its golden years would definitely suffice in this current time.

2. Resident Evil — Code: Veronica

YouTube Video

Resident Evil — Code: Veronica was a real step up for the survival horror series, mainly because it discarded the familiar pre-rendered backgrounds and made way for real-time 3D visuals, all while keeping the signature gameplay style and iconic roster. And for that, it made sense that it went on to receive a HD remake on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. But, you know, that was eleven years ago. Times have changed, and we're still hungry.

On one hand, it would only make sense for Capcom to remake the main timeline and turn a blind eye to its spin-offs. Code: Veronica, however, deserves so much more, and it pains us to see it lumbered with the cold shoulder given its immense popularity that continues to bolster it even to this day. And so, rather than rebuilding Resident Evil 5 from the ground up, how about rerouting a few wires from the Dreamcast era? It wouldn't hurt, that's all we're saying!

1. Chaos Legion

YouTube Video

It's certainly no easy task, living up to your sibling's accomplishments, especially when they're bathing in copious amounts of accolades. Nevertheless, Chaos Legion was one for trying, though it did mean aiming to one-up none other than Capcom's star child, Devil May Cry. But was it a mountain worth trekking? Well, it was an admirable effort, to say the least.

Although Dante and the universally acclaimed Devil May Cry series did go on to bear the torch for Capcom's hack and slash subdomain, a lot of love and appreciation was cast on Chaos Legion for taking up the saddle. And to be fair, if we had a modern remake of it, we know for a fact it would stand a much higher chance of making its kin blush crimson red. Of course, whether Capcom will decide to revisit it or not is another story. Though, in all honestly, it isn't one we're expecting to hear anytime soon.

Capcom has announced that it will hold its own digital showcase later this month.

Capcom is the latest publisher to announce that it will have its own digital showcase. We have seen such events from other publishers and developers, such as the recent Sony State of Play and the Summer Game Fest.

Capcom will hold a 35 minutes showcase that will be live on Capcom's Twitch and YouTube accounts. The showcase will feature news and in depth updates on “previously announced Capcom titles.”

The publisher is keeping expectations in check as we will not expect any surprise game announcements. However, there's still a lot Capcom has revealed that it can talk about in greater depth, such as the “reimagined” Resident Evil 4 remake and Street Fighter 6.

What to Expect From the Capcom's Showcase?

While the publisher did not reveal any titles, we can make a few assumptions based on Capcom's upcoming release schedule. There is Resident Evil Re: Verse, Capcom's multiplayer spin-off that has been delayed significantly due to poor beta performance. We also hope to get more details about Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, which will be released on June 30. Monster Hunter Rise was a financial and critical success last year, which means more information about the game might be forthcoming. Fans can also expect more details on the planned PlayStation VR2 edition of Resi Village.

Around this time of the year, developers and publishers put a hold on launching games to show off what they are working on and releasing soon. Sony staged its most recent State of Play event last week, and Summer Game Fest begins on Thursday. The collaborative showcase from Bethesda and Xbox will take place on Sunday, June 12, with an extended show in the following days.

Capcom has now stated that it will be presenting its own event to participate in the presentation festivities. The event will take place on June 13 at 3 pm PT.

It's time to get your hunting gear ready for the upcoming expansion to Monster Hunter Rise. The first addition to the series, Capcom announced Sunbreak will be available for purchase on June 30th. Featured in the Monster Hunter digital event on YouTube, details were discussed surrounding the world and story of the upcoming expansion. As well as some insight into the new beasts, or walking materials, the game will offer.

The stream offers a lot of information. Full of wonderful new monsters and stellar vistas to immerse yourself in. Breaking down the new territories as well as introducing some major characters. There is a lot to look forward to for all Monster Hunter players, new and returning.

YouTube Video

Unlike the release of Monster Hunter Rise, which came to PC some time after it's Switch Release. Sunbreak will be available to everyone at the same time. Centering around the land of Elgado, faced with a new wildlife to discover and areas to explore. There will once again be a suite of new armours and weapons to craft, upgrade and use to hunt the next biggest thing in the land. There are some requirements to access the new content, but Capcom has decided to help. Sunbreak can be accessed once the Hub 7 Quest: Serpent Goddess of Thunder is completed. Capcom is giving out powerful gear to help players catch up to this point.

During the stream it was also noted that alongside the Sunbreak expansion, a sizeable patch of 13GB will release for all Monster Hunter Rise players. Bringing with it a host of balancing changes, item packs and additional gear for players to have fun with.

Capcom has released the first look at Street Fighter 6, with more details to come in the coming days.

In comparison to its predecessors, Street Fighter 6 appears to have a more realistic art design. According to the teaser clip, it now mixes the graphics of Tekken with a current 3D fighter. It might, however, keep its classic look while incorporating a modern aesthetic.

Capcom has released a teaser trailer to commemorate the news. Take a look at the trailer below for a sneak peek of what they are planning for the game.

YouTube Video

The game's platforms are yet to be confirmed, and the official press release provided few details. Capcom did provide two screenshots as well as the game's official logo. The youtube description includes an official website. However, the website doesn't appear to have any recent updates. More information will be released in the summer of 2022.

Capcom chose a cell-shared 3D art style for Street Fighter V, which got mixed reviews. In some situations, it looked fantastic, but in others, it made some of the characters appear considerably worse.

The PS4 and PC versions of Street Fighter V were the only ones available. After its initial release, it received multiple additions that introduced over two dozen more combatants to the game. After the last Capcom Pro Tour closes, Capcom plans to discontinue support for the game and focus on the newly announced Street Fighter 6.

The first Street Fighter was released as an arcade game in 1987 and Street Fighter II  followed in 1991. Its revolutionary battle system sparked widespread interest, inventing the fighting game genre and propelling the series' total shipments to 47 million units worldwide over time.

Despite the fact that Street Fighter has been around for more than 35 years, the series continues to be popular around the world. Furthermore, the series has grown in popularity in recent years by spearheading the fighting game genre in esports. So, what are your thoughts on the Street Fighter 6? The launch of the PlayStation 5 in 2020 came with many big-name titles, such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, the real-time for the PlayStation 5 to shine and show its true potential was in 2021. Games were being freshly optimized and a handful of exclusives got released. It almost felt like I could barely get through one game before the next big title was released. I'm not complaining though.

The only issue is the majority of gamers don't have the time or money to play every title they want. Most of us have to pick and choose the titles we feel are worth spending our precious time on. Choosing the best out of a sea of titles can be difficult, but that's why we're here. Comparing everything from major company ratings, user reviews, and personal experience to give you a list of games that you surely don't want to miss out on. After a lot of careful consideration, we have narrowed down the top five games of 2021 for PS5.

5. Resident Evil Village

YouTube Video

The Resident Evil series has been a constant succession of compelling horror combined with an arching narrative. Every game in the series has been an improvement from the last, and the same goes for Resident Evil Village. The game feels and plays very similar to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, but with strong ties to Resident Evil 4. What do I mean? Capcom used the same RE Engine from Resident Evil 7, so mechanically the game presents itself with the same smooth feeling.

Instead of building up to the action, Resident Evil Village throws you right into it. Once again playing as Ethan Winters you will constantly feel a sense of haste and anxiousness as you progress through the game. You almost always have an unsettling feeling of being watched that will constantly make you look over your shoulder. Part of this has to give credit to a whole new list of disturbing enemies that will make your skin crawl at first encounter.

If you enjoy the story-driven horror genre, then Resident Evil Village is a must-buy.

4. Death's Door

YouTube Video

One of the most overlooked titles of 2021 was Death's Door. This could be because the protagonist you play as is a crow. Yes, I will repeat myself — you play as a crow. It's a shame that most people may have turned their backs to this game for that reason because it has a lot to offer. Death's Door is a beautifully designed 3D, top-down Indie game with a great feel to it. The skill gap is at the perfect level where it's addicting to master, and rewarding when fluently achieved.

The game consists of exploration, puzzles, and a solid amount of action and combat to keep you on your toes. You find yourself on a mission to retrieve a soul that is vital to the crow's existence in the living realm. It feels rather simplistic at first but as you go on the story starts to unravel and reveal more of a mystery. By this point, you will find yourself completely immersed.

All the while, taking the topic of death and looking at it in a light-hearted and encompassing way. If you're into Indie games that have a unique feel and make you rethink your approach to life and death for this matter, then definitely check out Death's Door.

3. It Takes Two

YouTube Video

It Takes Two is a co-op action-adventure  platformer that will appeal to every type of gamer. Even non-gamers can play with a friend and find a lot of amusement from this game. That is because the amount of variation across the levels is incomparable. No area feels similar to the other, and every situation you face is challenging and unique. On top of this, both players have their own role to play for each level but can't complete it without one another, therefore making the progress feel like an individual accomplishment but an overall team effort.

The game builds off of the story of two parents who are getting divorced but find themselves magically turned into two dolls. The plot may not be that thick, but the emotions are. Every level in the game has an overarching connection to rebuilding the parent's relationship. Full of metaphors and hidden meaning, the game is reflective in re-establishing a connection and bringing out the best in each other.

2. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart

YouTube Video

I hope you're ready to save the universe as Ratchet and Clank, again. PlayStation's long-time favorite exclusive Ratchet and Clank finally saw a new installment to the series after five years. I don't blame Insomniac games though, since Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is another home run for the company. The time they dedicate to handcrafting beautifully artistic and emotionally story-driven games show.

Even if you're new to the series, Ratchet, and Clank: Rift Apart is easy to pick up and fall in love with. There are so many likable characters, encapturing scenic moments, and enjoyable combat with funky new weapons. Even better, the game runs like a gem on PS5 in smooth 60 FPS.

If you're a fan of story games with a riveting narrative and a fun playstyle, then pick up this game. It Takes Two is one of the most highly discussed titles of 2021, and exceeded user expectations.

1. Returnal

YouTube Video

It's only fitting that a PlayStation 5 exclusive, such as Returnal makes the number one spot on this list. Returnal is a newly developed game for PS5 that is full of fast-paced, riveting action. I will admit the game can be challenging at times, but it's also those moments that make it so inviting. The game crash lands you on a planet that is a mystical jungle, full of intriguing creatures. Don't get too friendly with them though, cause I can assure you they aren't looking to befriend you in the slightest.

That's where the weapons come in, which are just a spectacle on their own. Shooting a multitude of different lasers, particles, and explosions that are full of vibrant colors. Visually the game is amazing in every aspect. Even better, the gameplay feels fast, and the combat plays even faster. It would be hard not to enjoy your time with this game as it is every bit creative and intriguing as it is fun.
