Disney & Marvel Games Showcase: How to Watch and What to Expect
The Disney & Marvel Games Showcase, easily one of the most anticipated events of the year, kicks off today. And, with the lineup of games we know are on the way, it's shaping up to be an intriguing one. That's why you don't want to miss out on new and exciting details for games we're eagerly waiting for, as well as those that have yet to be announced. So read on if you want to get all the details on the event, and how to watch it.
The Disney & Marvel Games Showcase kicks off today, September 9, at 1pm PT/4pm ET. Coverage of the event is being hosted live on Disney's official Youtube or Twitch. But for convenience's sake, we've also embedded the official Youtube stream below, to ensure you don't miss it.
What to Expect From the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase
As far as publishers and developers go, we know the showcase will feature games from Disney & Pixar Games, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century Games. And the titles we know will be getting some spotlight are Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel's Midnight Suns, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. And although we don't know the event's exact run time, we hardly expect those three titles to occupy all the time.
Meaning, expect some new announcements, and with that, hopefully, big ones. One title that's been rumored is Amy Hennig's new Marvel Game that's been under work at Skydance New Media. Reportedly, the game is a World War Two setting, featuring Black Panther, Captain America, and evil Hydra forces. So if these reports are true, wish we believe and hope them to be, this is one title that could make its unveiling at the event.
Aside from that, we're really not sure what else could be coming our way. However, some already announced titles we're expecting more details and gameplay on are, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and Marvel's Wolverine. Release dates? Gameplay trailers? Whatever it is, we just hope it's enough to make for an exciting event.
