One of the best ways to immerse yourself in a new practice, skill, or trade is with simulation games. Aiming to provide the most life-like and realistic portrayal of its counterparts, simulation games, to many people's surprise, make even the most dull ideas somewhat enjoyable. Take PowerWash Simulator for example. Unfortunately, that wonderful simulator isn't part of the PlayStation Plus game catalog. But don't fret, we've got five of the best simulation games on PlayStation Plus in August right below. So, read on to find out what they are!

5. Cities: Skylines

YouTube Video

City builders used to be the heart of simulation games before more sporadic ideas began to appear on the market. However, city builders continue to reign supreme and provide one of the best simulation experiences around. Thankfully, PlayStation Plus has you covered with Cities: Skylines, an in-depth city-builder where you can build a small beach-side town or a metropolis that soars amongst the clouds.

As the mayor of this fictitious city, you are in charge of everything, including road construction, education, emergency services, and more. However, you must always be mindful of maintaining your economy, or your city will quickly become a ghost town. It can be a bit overwhelming at the start, so be sure to check out our Cities: Skylines tips for beginners. Nonetheless, Cities: Skylines is one of the best simulation games for creating your own customized city from the ground up, with virtually limitless creative possibilities.

4. Bee Simulator

YouTube Video

As we said, simulation games can make even the dullest ideas into exciting gaming experiences, just take the case of Bee Simulator. There really are no strings attached; in Bee Simulator you play through the eyes of a bee living in Central Park in New York City. That sounds suspiciously similar to the plot of The Bee Movie, but the games piqued our curiosity, so we'll let it slide. Plus, Bee Simulator has a separate narrative, so it's not all directly tied to the movie, the two just share a similar setting.

Nonetheless, as a hard-working New Yorker bee, you can take part in bee races, collect pollen from flowers, fight dangerous wasps, and take on other missions from your queen bee. Overall, there is a lot to see and do in Central Park, but there is one overriding aim to all of this exploration. Humans are attempting to cut down the tree that houses your Hive. As a result, it falls on your wings to stop them and save your swarm. Not many simulation games have a story, or one with this big of stakes for that matter, which is why Bee Simulator is one of the best simulation games you on PlayStation Plus.

3. Car Mechanic Simulator

YouTube Video

While some simulation games are intended to be humorous, others are meant to be taken seriously. One game that players shouldn't take lightly is Car Mechanic Simulator. If you're a car aficionado, this game is right down your alley. However, if cars aren't exactly your area of expertise, well then we'll just say there is a lot you can learn from this game. Essentially, the whole point of Car Mechanic Simulator is to take old pieces of junk and flip them into dazzling vehicles which you then sell for a profit.

The concept may sound simple, however, Car Mechanic Simulator is an extremely in-depth simulator that it almost requires you to know your stuff before diving in. Just take into consideration that there are a total of 48 cars, 10+ repair tools, and over 1000+ parts to toy with. As a result, it's pretty evident Car Mechanic Simulator takes its car detailing very seriously. Nonetheless, it's one of the best simulation games on PlayStation Plus that can also teach you a thing or two.

2. Lawn Mowing Simulator

YouTube Video

Another simulation game that goes off the beaten path, but is highly satisfying to play is Lawn Mowing Simulator. Hey, if PowerWash Simulator exists, this game isn't all that surprising. Plus, who doesn't love the look of a freshly cut lawn? I digress, the game's premise is as you might expect: drive lawnmowers that are replicas of their real-life counterparts and take on contracts mowing lawns in the beautiful British countryside. While that may sound pretty simple, there is a lot more to the game than you might expect.

For starters, you can customize your mower with a plethora of attachments, such as stripe rollers, mulching kits, grass collectors, recyclers, flail decks, and more. What's more, you can build your lawnmowing company up from scratch by taking on new contracts and expanding your business. So, while it may not seem like one of the best simulation games out there, Lawn Mower Simulator is a lot more fun than you would expect.

1. Frostpunk: Console Edition

YouTube Video

Ending this list of the best simulation games on PlayStation Plus with a banger, we have Frostpunk. Although this game is essentially a city builder, it follows a premise unlike any of its competition. In Frostpunk, the planet mysteriously froze in the 19th century amidst the industrial revolution, forcing the human race to adapt to harsh conditions. As the leader of the last known civilization in the world, you must discover new technologies, explore the frozen wasteland, and above all else, keep your society alive.

So, basically, you can rule with an iron fist, or be a wholesome leader. Either way, you will be faced with difficult decisions in Frostpunks' dystopic, end-of-the-world, city-building simulator.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our top five? Are there other simulation games on PlayStation Plus you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

One genre of games that's responsible for countless standout titles is platformers. With a unique level design, platformers have the potential to deliver original gameplay with an intriguing story which tends to result in a well-rounded title. At the same time, some platformers are just looking to challenge and stretch the players' talents on the controller. Either way, platformers tend to offer some great gaming experiences. As a result, we've compiled this list of the best platforming games PlayStation Plus. So, if you're a PlayStation Plus member, make sure you don't miss out on playing the fantastic platformers featured below.

5. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

YouTube Video

Kicking off this list of the best platforming games on PlayStation Plus, we have a title starring two PlayStation icons, Ratchet & Clank. The pinnacle of the series, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is up for grabs to PlayStation Plus subscribers, and it is one of the most exciting action platformers to date. In the series finale, an evil robotic emperor seeks to dominate cross-dimensional travel and the worlds it can reach. Unfortunately, Ratchet & Clanks world is next on the chopping block.

By teaming up with Rivet – a Lombax resistance fighter from another dimension – the squad must do everything in their power to save their world and stop this evil power from wreaking further havoc on the universe. The story itself is easy to get behind, but the best part is what it brings to the gameplay. By jumping through rifts to different realities, you will encounter a flurry of different levels, each of which offers a distinct and exciting experience. So, if you're looking for a thrilling journey, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the platformer for you.

4. Hollow Knight Voidheart Edition

YouTube Video

Being one of the most successful platformers of all time, we doubt Hollow Knight needs any introduction. Taking control of a mysterious protagonist, you will slash and dash your way in an epic action adventure through a vast ruined kingdom of insects and heroes. As you uncover the kingdom's riddles, you will explore twisted caves, battle contaminated animals, and even befriend weird bugs. And the whole experience is brought together through its hand-drawn 2D style and soundtrack with over 40 songs.

Hollow Knight is without a doubt one of the best platforming games on PlayStation Plus, that will leave you wanting more. Thankfully, the game that's offered to PS Plus subscribers is the Voidheart Edition, which includes four giant content packs that expand the game with new quests, bosses, and abilities. If that isn't enough, the sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong, is set to arrive in late 2023. As a result, the has never been a better time to experience one of the best platforming games of all time.

3. Dead Cells

YouTube Video

We did state that some platformers seek to push the player's perception of what they are capable of. As a result, platformers of this nature tend to have a high learning curve. However, in Dead Cells' case, it's ruthless. Dead Cells is a roguelite, metroidvania inspired, action-platformer with no checkpoints. As a result, each time you die in the game, you start from the beginning again. So you have no choice but to beat the game in one go or die trying.

That may sound merciless, but Dead Cells isn't all that cruel. When you die, you will have access to the abilities and weapons you unlocked in your previous run in your subsequent run. As a result, with each playthrough, you become stronger and gradually learn to master each level and its boss. So, while Dead Cells may sound difficult, it's equally rewarding when you beat a level or enemy that's been causing you trouble. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a platformer that will give you a challenge, look no further than Dead Cells.

2. Sackboy: A Big Adventure

YouTube Video

Stepping away from the conventional 2D side-scrolling format of platformers and back into 3D platformers, we have Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Being one of PlayStation's most notable icons, Sackboy and his game series is the definition of a fun and light-hearted platformer. And Sackboy: A Big Adventure is not only the series' pinnacle, but it's the best game in its lineup. As a result, it easily lands as one of the best platforming games on PlayStation Plus.

In the grand finale, Sackboy embarks on a solo adventure to rescue his friends from the dastardly Vex. With a variety of challenges, puzzles, and obstacle-filled levels Sackboy: A Big Adventure presents an appropriate fun-filled challenge. One that won't make you break your controller, but not something you can do with one eye closed. Nonetheless, if you're searching for a stress-free platformer with some entertaining gameplay, you can't go wrong with Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

1. Celeste

YouTube Video

Taking the number one spot for the best platforming games on PlayStation Plus is Celeste. In this 8-bit adventure, you play as protagonist Madeline, who traverses up Celeste Mountain as she confronts and learns to overcome her inner demons. As a result, Celeste is a self-discovery game that has a profound impact on the player. It may only have three controls (jump, air-dash, and climb), but the levels add a layer of depth to the gameplay, and the story starts to weigh on you the deeper you go. Or in this case, I should say the higher you go. Nonetheless, if you're in need of a platformer that will pull on your heartstrings, Celeste will do the trick.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our top five? Are there other platforming games on PlayStation Plus you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

In terms of plot, you play as Detective Sebastian Castellanos, who stumbles upon a mysterious powerful force while investigating a series of murders. It inevitably kills your other policemen but leaves you unconscious. You then awaken in “a deranged world where hideous creatures roam among the dead. Facing unimaginable terror, and fighting for survival, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel what’s behind this evil force.”

4. Inside

YouTube Video

If you're looking for a fresh horror experience, check out Inside, an award-winning indie. In this atmospheric and harrowing puzzle platformer, “a boy finds himself drawn into the center of a dark project.” While that's not exactly descriptive, Inside's mystery and intrigue are what draw you into its disturbing plot. From there, you progress through the levels of a horror story that grows darker and more harrowing with each step.

The game has received over 100 awards for everything from its art style to its soundtrack and story. As a result, Inside is unquestionably of the best horror games on Xbox Game Pass. You just have to be open-minded and let its story swoop you away into an unsettling and unnerving adventure. What's more, if you're a fan of games like Limbo and the Little Nightmares series, Inside draws its inspiration right from them.

3. Dead by Daylight

YouTube Video

Multiplayer horror games have been growing in popularity since the likes of Dead by Daylight. However, even seven years after its release, no one can top the game that began the uprising. What we're saying is that Dead by Daylight is still going strong in 2023 and has an ever-growing active community. As a result, not only is it one of the best multiplayer horror experiences, but one of the best horror games that's included with Xbox Game Pass.

Essentially, Dead by Daylight is an expansive horror that pits one killer against a squad of four survivors. There are more than 30 killers to pick from, ranging from Michael Myers to other outer-worldly entities. Each killer and survivor has different characteristics and talents you can level to define their playstyle. Nonetheless, at the end of the day, it is up to the killers to eliminate the survivors and the survivors to make it out with their lives.

2. Amnesia: The Bunker

YouTube Video

Amnesia: The Bunker is the latest installment in the critically acclaimed survival horror series Amnesia. Launched on July 6, 2023, Amnesia: The Bunker is a spin-off entry in the series, nevertheless it provides an equally terrifying experience. In this first-person horror game, you're alone in a desolate WW1 bunker, with only one bullet left in the barrel. In search of a way out, something in the dark and murky corridors stalks, haunts, and slowly drives you insane.

Your mission is to scavenge whatever materials you can, keep the lights on as long as possible, and try to keep yourself from going insane. With randomization and unpredictable behavior installed into the AI, the game reacts and changes to your every step. As a result, Amnesia: The Bunker offers an endlessly haunting horror experience that's new with each playthrough. It's one of the newest and best horror games on Xbox Game Pass, and we highly recommend checking it out.

1. Amnesia: Collection

YouTube Video

With the most recent installment, Amnesia: The Bunker, on the list, we couldn't leave out the three-part series that started it all. Thankfully, Xbox Game Pass has Amnesia: Collection up for grabs on Xbox Game Pass. That includes the original Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and sequels, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs and Amnesia: Justine.

While each game has a similar dark atmosphere, they all convey a separate yet unsettling story. The original game puts you in the shoes of Daniel who awakes in a desolate castle and can't remember anything about his past.

In the sequel, A Machine For Pigs, “wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus wakes in his bed wracked with fever and haunted by dreams of a dark and hellish engine.”

The final game in the three-part series, Justine, “puts you through a series of trials constructed by a demented mind. Will you risk your own life to save others?” Altogether, the Amnesia: Collection brings you three of the best horror games on Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass is the preferred subscription service for Xbox Series X|S gamers. For a relatively low monthly price, you gain access to a whole catalog of games, both old and new, that are readily available to download. However, with so many games to pick from, it might be difficult to narrow down your options. That's why we're here to tell you which Xbox Game Pass games are worth your time this August. More specifically, what are the best FPS games on Xbox Game Pass this month? Well, we've got them right below, so read on to find out what they are.

5. Doom (Series)

YouTube Video

DOOM, the renowned high-octane shooter, is the first title on this list of the best FPS games on Xbox Game Pass. In fact, we're taking the entire series because all of the franchise's titles are available on Game Pass. If you're unfamiliar with the Doom series, it's an epic single-player campaign featuring some of the most exciting FPS gameplay to date. The basic plot of every Doom game is that hell's legions are attempting to attack Earth. Your goal as the “Doom Guy” is to prevent these demons from other dimensions from annihilating humanity.

All in all, the entire Doom series is a fast-paced, action-packed, and extremely brutal game that's endlessly entertaining. You can literally rip monsters' jaws apart as a way to take them down. Nonetheless, every Doom game is an endlessly entertaining adrenaline rush, and frankly why we recommend playing them all. If you're not sure where to begin, we recommend starting with DOOM from 2016 and then moving on to DOOM Eternal. If you're still hungry for more after that, the classics are all there for you to enjoy.

4. Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem

YouTube Video

The Serious Sam series is an FPS franchise that dates back to the early 2000s. For a long time, the Serious Sam series provided some of the most exciting single-player FPS action available, until games like Call of Duty and Battlefield took over. However, Serious Sam's vision for their FPS game was unaltered. As Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem is a new standalone expansion of the classic FPS series that was launched in 2020.

In this new standalone chapter, we find our macho protagonist Sam navigating a vast Russian landscape on a quest to catch the treacherous traitor General Brand. Of course, he's up to no good, and it's up to us to put a stop to it. However, getting to him will need a lot of bullets, quick thought, and perilous courage. Overall, Serious Sam's FPS action is similar to that of Dooms. Regardless, it still makes for one of the best FPS games on Xbox Game Pass this August.

3. Deathloop

YouTube Video

Deathloop is a new story-driven shooter from Arkane Studios, the creators of Dishonoured. In this action, FPS game, two rival assassins are locked in a mysterious time loop on the island of Black Reef, forced to repeat the same day forever. There is, however, one way out: by assassinating the eight vital targets before the day ends. As a result, if you want to escape this mind-boggle and back to your usual life, you'll need to get your hands dirty.

At first, you will ultimately fail when you attempt to take out the eight targets and break the loop. Thankfully, the day resets, which gives you a chance to change up your approach. In fact, the more failed attempts the better. As you will learn what strategies work and what strategies don't. Furthermore, it gives you the chance to try new paths, gather new intel, and unlock new abilities. It's a constantly wavering narrative that doubles as one of the best FPS games on Xbox Game Pass.

2. Atomic Heart

YouTube Video

Atomic Heart is a game from developers Mundfish that released this year. While the story may not have lived up to everyone's expectations, it does scratch that itch for exciting FPS, which is why it's included in this list of the best FPS games on Xbox Game Pass. Atomic Hearts narrative is set in a utopia where humans and servant robots live in harmony with each other. However, the unstoppable force that is technology results in these robots evolving into mutant creatures and superpowered machines that inevitably rise up against their creators. Or, is there another force at play?

In any case, it is your responsibility to confront them and restore society to peace and order. You are the only person who can put an end to this lunacy by employing the combat abilities of your experimental Power Glove and the assistance of some over-the-top futuristic weaponry. Adapt your fighting style to combat these machines and engage in explosive combat in Atomic Heart.

1. Sea of Thieves

YouTube Video

We know this list of the best FPS games on Xbox Game Pass has a lot of single-player adventures. However, that's because a lot of the multiplayer FPS games on Game Pass require EA Pass, which not all of us get with our console subscription. That is, all but one of the Xbox's greatest multiplayer FPS games, Sea of Thieves.

Sea of Thieves is an open-world exploration game in which you can play single or as a group of pirates on your very own pirate ship, sailing the seas in search of riches and mystery. You will encounter everything from the Kraken to other pirates prepared to wreck your ship and steal your gold. With world events and other attractions enticing players, Sea of Thieves is the one game that epitomizes “It's a pirate's life for me.” So, why not shake up your FPS gameplay with an original experience?

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our top five? Are there other FPS games on Xbox Game Pass that we should know about? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

One of the best parts about Remnant 2's co-op shooter, is that you get to build your playstyle in a variety of ways. However, there is a lot to consider when doing so. For starters, you'll need to select an archetype and pair it with a solid weapon, amulet, and archetype skill. While we've covered the first two, archetype skills are a whole other topic we need to dive into. That's why we've compiled a list of the best archetype skills in Remnant 2 right below.

So, whether you're using one of the five starter archetypes or have your eyes set on one of the games unlockable dual archetypes, we've got you covered with the best skills out of all the classes, right below. Some are better used in a team setting, while others simply buff your character's attributes. In any case, these are the best Remnant 2 archetype skills that will have the biggest impact on your character and squad.

6. Hunter's Focus (Hunter)

Best Archetype Skills

Although it's a tough class to solo, if you're part of a team, then the Hunter archetype becomes a viable option. Designed to sit in the back lines and pick off opponents from the shadows, the Hunter's Focus skill significantly boosts that style of play. With the Hunter's Focus skill, while aiming down your scope with the Hunter's Focus skill, your weapon spread, recoil, and weapon sway are all reduced by 75%. Making them virtually unnoticeable.

What's more, you get a 20% boost in ranged damage, as well as a 10% increase chance of causing critical ranged damage. To top it all off, enemies you have scoped down your sight are marked so they're easier to track in the chaos of battle. As a result, the Hunter's Focus is one of the classes best archetype skills as it essentially turns you into a pro sniper.

5. Healing Shield (Medic)

Best Archetype Skills

If you're playing in a squad, without question one player has to designate themselves as Medic. After all, they are the most beneficial archetype because they work to keep everyone alive in the fight. So, if you've assumed that role yourself and have taken your friends under your wing of health, you might want to equip the Healing Shield skill for the class. When you use the Healing Shield skill, all teammates within 25 meters are shielded for 100% of their maximum health. On top of that, allies will regenerate 20% of their maximum health while under the shields' protection.

As a result, the Healing Shield is one of the best archetype skills for Medic because it provides both a shield and heals for you and your teammates. So, there's no disputing how beneficial it is. That being said, in our opinion, it's not the best skill for the class. The best skill for the Medic archetype lies further down the list.

4. Minion: Flyer (Summoner)

Best Archetype Skills

The Summoner is one of Remnant 2s' unique Archetypes that you unlock later in the game. It is the only archetype in the game that has the ability to summon creatures to aid you in battle. As a result, there's no secret many Remnant 2 players will be chasing down this Archetype. Once they get it, the first skill they should look into getting is Minion: Flyer.

At a cost of 10% of your health, the Minion: Flyer skill will call up to two Root Flyers to battle alongside you. These gargoyle-like beasts will hover above the player and do damage to the nearest enemy, but that's not all. By holding down the skill button, you will sacrifice your Flyers, sending them into battle to explode and do 50 damage to anyone within 3 meters. As an added bonus, the Flyer will release three homing projectiles that will explode, dealing 150 damage each.

3. Rampage (Challenger)

Best Archetype Skills

The Challenger Archetype in Remnant 2 is great for anyone who likes to get right in the heat of battle. And, if you want to take the Challengers bloodthirst to the next level, then you need the Rampage skill. The Rampage skill grants the Challenger class a 15% increase in firing rate, a 20% increase in reload speed, and a 10% increase in movement speed. On top of that, the Challengers' rage will grow with each kill you get. Kill 10 people while the skill is active, and the effects of the Rampage skill are all doubled. So, it's pretty easy to see why this is one of the best skills for the Challenger archetype.

2. Bulletstorm (Gunslinger)

If you eat bullets for breakfast, you most likely went with the Gunslinger archetype in Remnant 2. If that's the case, then Bulletstorm is without a doubt the best archetype skill for the class. This skill increases the Gunslinger's reload speed by 50% and fire rate by 20%. Furthermore, all single-shot weapons are made automatic. And, as if it couldn't get any better, each kill instantly reloads your weapon. As a result, the Bulletstorm skill for Gunslinger lets you go berserk with your bullets, which is perfect for dealing with crowds of opponents or chunking down a boss's health.

1. Redemption (Medic)

There is no doubt about it: the Redemption skill for Medic trumps all the other archetype skills in the game. When you activate the Redemption skill, the doctor will unleash a 30-meter-wide shockwave that instantly revives all downed players in its radius. On top of that, it will revive all players with 50% of their maximum health. As you can see, the Redemption skill for medic is your team's big red button. So, when all else looks bleak, leave it up to one of the best archetype skills in the game to save you from death.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our picks? Are there other archetype skills in Remnant 2 you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

Post Malone, the stage name of famed rapper Austin Richard Post, is now sharing a bed with Sauron, as he is the new ruler of the One Ring. To put this in context, Magic: The Gathering teamed with Lord of the Rings two months ago to develop the Magic: The Gathering – Tales of Middle-earth set. A part of this set is the “One Ring” card, which is based on the Ring of Sauron from Lord of the Rings.

While makers Wizards of the Coast did print multiple copies of the “One Ring”, all of them but one feature English text. The one that doesn't is written in Black Speech, a fictional language of Mordor invented by J.R.R. Tolkien. This is a one-of-a-kind card, originally valued at over $2 million.

Evidently, the card didn't take long to find as MTG player Brook Trafton ended up acquiring it in a booster pack. Although Trafton has been an MTG fan his whole life, he knew he could sell the card for life-changing money. And the first buyer to come to mind – Post Malone. If you didn't know, Post Malone is also an MTG fan and has used his riches from rapping to expand his collection of the trading card game. His latest transaction was the limited edition “One Ring” card and word on the social media street is that he purchased it from Trafton for a whopping $2.6 million.

Post Malone Now Rules Us All

@brooktrafton

When I found the One Ring, the first person who came to mind was @Post Malone. I have played MTG since I was a kid and obviously it would be amazing to keep this card. But for a guy like me, being able to sell it is life changing. I just really hoped it would go to someone who would appreciate it as much as I do. This is my dream come true, meeting Post Malone and him buying the One Ring card from me is literally a moment straight out of a fairytale. Post Malone @Magic: The Gathering you have changed my life. Things like this don’t happen to people like me, I guess it’s magic. I am forever grateful 🙏 ✨  #postmalone #onering #oneofone #mtg #magic #mint #psa #card #magicthegathering #lordoftherings #trading #tradingcards #theonering #sauron #collector #edition #one #gandalf #tradingcardgame

♬ original sound – Brook Trafton

In the video posted to Tiktok by Brook Trafton, he states “This is my dream come true, meeting Post Malone and him buying the One Ring card from me is literally a moment straight out of a fairytale.” Post Malone also seemed to be pleased with his acquisition of the One Ring, but not as pleased as Trafton, who was left in tears after Post responded, “Yeah, I'll take it.” Moral of the story: buy those trading card game packs, because you never know what might happen.

So, what's your take? Would you spend that much to be the owner of the One Ring? Better yet, would you sell the card to Post Malone if he gave you that offer? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

While weapons are the focus of your setup in Remnant 2, you can't overlook the Amulet you use. Amulets, in essence, give your player a stat boost. Some are build-specific, while others work to patch the chink in your armor. Either way, we believe you get the point: Amulets are a crucial piece in Remnant 2 and can make or break your setup. And with over 50 in the game to choose from, it can be tough to know which one to go with. That's why we've got you covered with the best Amulets in Remnant 2, right below.

Do take into consideration that there are over 50 Amulets in the game. So, not all of the ones in this list will be applicable to your build. As a result, we've picked out the eight best Amulets in terms of universal application. Nonetheless, we'll get on with it, here are our picks for the best Amulets in Remnant 2.

8. Rusted Navigator's Pendant

Kicking things off, we have the Rusted Navigator's Pendant. We won't lie, there's nothing too special about this Amulet. We chose it because it's an excellent all-purpose Amulet with numerous applications. To begin, it grants 15 Health and Stamina. Furthermore, it reduces Encumbrance by -15. As you can see, it has no outlandish effects. It is, nevertheless, highly advantageous and may end up being the extra boost your player needs.

7. Stalker's Brand

If you like tearing down enemies' health before they know what hit them, the Stalkers Brand is one of the best Amulets in Remnant 2 built for just that. Stalker's Brand grants you 10% Ranged and 15% Melee damage. What's more, the bonus is doubled for enemies who aren't targeting the wearer. As a result, it's an excellent Amulet to have for anyone playing Remnant 2 co-op. What's more, if you're a stealth player who likes to get the jump on enemies and hit them by surprise.

6. Indignant Fetish

The Indignant Fetish is one of the best Amulets in the game, as it effectively turns you into a tank. When you take damage while wearing the Indignant Fetish, all outgoing damage is boosted by 25%. In addition, all incoming damage is decreased by 10%. Both effects last for 20 seconds once used. Essentially, this Amulent is the walking embodiment of “Get hit, hit harder back”.

5. Vengeance Idol

Vengeance Idol is a lot like the Indignant Fetish, however, it's more of a hail mary. With this Amulet, all outgoing damage is increased by 30% when you're below 50% health – something we could have used in Elden Ring many times over. Nonetheless, we get to reap its benefits in Remnant 2. This Amulet is extremely beneficial in boss fights where you're already down on health and only need a few more shots to finish the job.

4. Death's Embrace

best Amulets

Death's Embrace follows in the same vein as the last two Amulets, this time, however, a bit more conservative. This Amulet grants a 20% damage increase when health is under 100%, which is majority of the time. However, its effects don't stop there. Death's Embrace also grants 20% Haste when you're below 50%. As a result, you'll always know you have an escape plan in your back pocket when you wear this Amulet.

3. Escalation Protocol

best Amulets

Escalation Protocol is hands down one of the best Amulets in Remnant 2, and our personal favorite. While wearing the Escalation Protocol, after killing an enemy all damage is increased by 2.5% for 10 seconds. Isn't that incredible? Not so much, which is why we aren't finished. This Amulet's damage multiplier stacks to a total of 10x. Furthermore, dealing damage to foes resets the timer to 10 seconds.

So, in principle, you can stack your damage up to 25% and have that boost for as long as you hit one enemy every 10 seconds. This, as you can see, makes it a touch too powerful for bosses or waves of enemies. Either way, we aren't complaining one bit.

2. Ankh of Power

Funny enough, the Ankh of Power is a lot like Escalation Protocol. So, either Gunfire Games wasn't all that creative when making the Amulets or we're picking favorites. Our guess is the ladder. Nonetheless, the Ankh of Power boosts all damage by 15%. No strings attached, except one that is useful. When you consume a relic, you double the bonus to 30% for 15s. So, if your build isn't dishing out enough damage, this Amulet acts as a quick fix. A very good one at that.

1. Jester's Bell

best amulets

It's difficult to argue there's a better Amulet in Remnant 2 other than Jester's Bell. That's because this Amulet is completely broken. The Jester's Bell boosts your Mod and Skill Cast Speed by 35%. This effectively reduces the cooldown on both by 35%. But hold on, there's more. Casting a Skill or Mod increase all damage by 15% for 15s. So, not only does Jester's Bell serve as a rapid cooldown for your strongest skills, but it also increases their damage. Not to mention, the damage of your weapon as well.

That's why many players are using the Jester's Bell in their build. Furthermore, because it's easy to acquire. The Jester's Bell “Can be found in Losomn in the palace, the jester is a guaranteed spawn. Whilst he is juggling the balls before he gives you the Magic Quill. perform the Clap emote in the emote wheel to be awarded to the Jesters Bell to you and your team.”

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our picks? Are there other Amulets in Remnant 2 that you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

Remnant 2 is a souls-like third-person shooter that pits us against dangerous creatures and god-like bosses throughout the entire game. As a result, you don't want to go into the boss fights, or any fight for that matter, without the firepower to get the job done. However, with so many melee and ranged weapons in the game, how can you know which ones are capable? Thankfully, we've got you covered with the best weapons in Remnant 2 right below. So, read on to find out what they are!

8. Cube Gun

best weapons

Although it's hard to believe it's a handgun, what's not hard to believe is that the Cube Gun is one of the best weapons in Remnant 2. I mean, just one glance at that thing will turn most foes away. Nonetheless, the Cube Gun recycles its five shots, so you never have to worry about running out of ammo – only overheating.

If you want to add this bad boy to your collection, you must first obtain the Conflux Prism. To get it, though, you must defeat the Sentinal boss fight. It's all part of the main campaign, so you'll get your hands on this gun someday; in the meantime, let's see what other weapons can tie us over in the meantime.

7. Chicago Typewriter

best weapons

The Chicago Typewriter is a returning weapon from the original Remnant: From the Ashes. We're just happy to see it back in the sequel as this is one gun that's always had our back. Essentially functioning like a Tommy Gun, it has 80 rounds in its drum mag, allowing you to fire bullets for what feels like an eternity. As a result, the Chicago Typewriter is one of the best weapons in Remnant 2 for when you need to deal a lot of damage in a short period of time.

6. Deceit

best weapons

Shaking thing's up, we have Deceit, which is a long-range sniper with some heavy firepower. Although it only has six shots in its magazine, each one deals 120 damage. So, if you need to finish off an enemy or pick them off before they can reach you, Deceit is the weapon for the job. We only wish acquiring this weapon was as simple as killing enemies with it.

To obtain this rifle, you must kill one of the two bosses from the imposter kings storyline, which takes place near the end of the Losomn bio playthrough. When it gets down to crunch time, make sure you kill Faelin and NOT Faerin. Killing Faelin will drop the Imposter's Heart, which you can take to McCabe to craft deceit.

5. Spectral Blade

best weapons remnant 2

Although Remnant 2 has its fair share of melee weapons, we tend to prefer the power of the ranged ones. Nonetheless, when it comes to melee weapons, the Spectral Blade is a must-have. Easily one of the best weapons in the game, the Spectral Blade is a “super-heated laser sword with an infinitely sharp edge.”

The highlight of this weapon, however, is its Whirlwind weapon mod. When performing a Charge Melee Attack during a Neutral Backdash, the Spectral Blade creates a Whirlwind that slashes enemies in an 8m radius, for 91 damage each. It's a ridiculously powerful move that's also tirelessly fun to use.

4. XMG57 Bonesaw

best weapons remnant 2

Despite its slower fire rate, the XMG57 Bonesaw is an upgrade over the Chicago Typewriter. Not only does it feature a magazine that holds 150 bullets (70 more than the Chicago), but it also does greater damage per bullet (12 DMG, compared to 10). And what do you have to give up to have that? Just a slightly slower fire rate. As a result, it's difficult to argue that the XMG57 Bonesaw isn't one of the best weapons in Remnant 2.

3. Alpha/Omega

best weapons Remnant 2

The Alpha/Omega is one of Remnant 2's most versatile weapons. It's traditionally a rail gun, which you have to charge up to shoot. However, every successful hit reduces the charge time and increases the damage by 10%, stacking up to a total of 5x. Furthermore, its weapon mod Beta Ray instills a brand on foes that deals severe AOE damage. So, it's pretty easy to see why the Alpha/Omega is one of the best weapons in Remnant 2.

Unfortunately, this weapon won't be much help throughout the game since you get it from defeating Annihilation, the game's final boss. Nonetheless, it gives us much more motivation to bring him down.

2. Nightfall

best weapons Remnant 2

The Nightfall is without a doubt one of the best weapons in Remnant 2 – as long as you have the Dreadwalker weapon mod installed. Essentially, this mod transports you into the Nightmare realm for 10 seconds, where the gun becomes fully automatic, has infinite ammo, a 35% increase in fire rate, and lastly, 10% lifesteal. If that's not a little overpower, we don't know what is.

1. MP60-R

best weapons Remnant 2

Finally, the last gun you'll want to make the most of in your playthrough of Remnant 2 is the MP60-R. Although we use it as a secondary, it does a great job at cleaning up shop. It's got a high-fire rate, high damage, and a magazine big enough to get the job done. As a result, it kind of pairs perfectly with any primary and is easily the best weapon for clearing groups of enemies.

Despite the fact that it's already powerful on its own, its weapon mods really seal the deal here. The Overflow weapon mod, in particular, increases the weapon's fire rate, reload speed, and damage. Once you get it to that stature, the MP60-R is an absolute beast of a weapon.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our picks? Are there other weapons in Remnant 2 that you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

Although there are some exciting PlayStation games coming out this July, they did not take center stage. Instead, phase three of PlayStations China Hero Project, which took place on July 26, managed to steal the spotlight. With three new game trailers revealed, and updates on prior games, there was a lot to digest at the latest presentation. That's why we've got you covered with the five best announcements from the China Hero Project 2023 right below.

If you didn't know, the PlayStation China Hero Project is a program by Sony Interactive Entertainment Shanghai that gives Chinese developers a chance to enter global markets via PS5. From big international developers to small indies, PlayStations China Hero Project is a great way to discover games we normally don't get to see the likes of on our shores. And, as it looks right now, the games below are turning the most heads.

5. Lost Soul Aside

YouTube Video

The first name on this list of the best announcements from the PlayStation China Hero Project 2023 is Lost Soul Aside, an upcoming action RPG from UltiZero Games that looks to be a blend between Square Enix's Final Fantasy series and Capcom's Devil May Cry series.

However, Lost Soul Aside will center its universe around Kazer, “following his accidental merger with the symbiont Arena”—a supernatural race. Joined by a crystal dragon that has the power to morph into whatever its companion needs, Kazer will venture forth and collect allies in a bid to defy the authorities—an outfit that brand the protagonist as “inhuman”.

The game is preparing to launch in 2024 for PS4 and PS5, which is just right around the corner. So, if it's piqued your interest, be sure to read everything we know about Lost Soul Aside here.

4. Exiledge

YouTube Video

Although Exiledge is not one of the new announcements from phase three of the PlayStation China Hero Project, but rather an old one, it did show off some stunning new footage. From developers Enigmatrix, Exiledge is a “next-generation high-speed third-person shooting game.” However, shooting isn't Exiledges' only action component; the game also acts as a hack-and-slash with hero abilities. As a result, the action gameplay encompasses TPS, hero abilities, and hack-and-slash all into one.

It's a really groundbreaking idea, and it's a big reason why the China Hero Project is so crucial for us gamers to be aware of. Otherwise, where would we find excellent action games like Exiledge? Nonetheless, if you'd like to learn more about this title, check out this article to find out everything we know about Exiledge.

3. The Winds Rising

YouTube Video

TiGames' The Winds Rising was one of the new announcements during phase three of PlayStations China Hero Project. The upcoming action RPG follows the story of “a girl from a peaceful village who embarks on a grand adventure after encountering a lost monster cub, which affects the rise and fall of the entire kingdom.” It sounds like quite the hero's journey, which in a videogame usually results in two things: a riveting narrative and exhilarating action gameplay.

The Winds Rising, which was unveiled during the China Hero Project, will, of course, be launched on PS5. However, it is too soon to say when. For the time being, you can learn everything else there is to know about The Winds Rising right here. Aside from that, let's see what else phase three of the project had to offer.

2. Daba: Land of Water Scar

YouTube Video

Despite the lack of information so far, Daba: Land of Water Scar was one of the most impressive announcements at this year's China Hero Project. It appears to blend the mechanics of Elden Ring with Nioh, which can only imply one thing: You'll be fighting goliath, jaw-dropping enemies. Whatever the case may be, the announcement trailer did an excellent job of catching our interest.

Here's what developers Dark Star had to say, “It tells the story of a humanoid clay puppet. When the world is on the verge of collapse, the puppet traces the whereabouts of the water fragments within the ancient city, and throughout their journey of defeating enemies and seeking answers, unravels the story of the world and oneself.”

Even if that's a little ambiguous, the gameplay looks promising. What's more, if you're a fan of Elden Ring, Daba: Land of Water Scar looks to bring battles of equally epic proportions. So, if you're interested be sure to check out everything we know about the game here.

1. The God Slayer

China Hero Project Announcements

Although there's a hefty four-year wait ahead of us, we can't contain our excitement over The God Slayer. Even though developers Pathe Games failed to give us an announcement trailer, the screenshots for the upcoming action RPG still made for one of the most intriguing announcements at this year's China Hero Project. We're not sure what is about this year's project and action RPG's, but hey, we aren't complaining one bit.

If we had to guess, we believe The God Slayer will follow in the footsteps of the other announcements on this list; after all, it is an action RPG. Its take, however, is a legendary quest based on Chinese folklore. As a result, it will have its own personality, which we believe to have a lot of promise. So, if you're curious to learn more, we've got all the details covered here.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our top five? Are there other announcements from the China Hero Project that we should know about? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

It's not always the strikers' scoring brilliance or a defense's shut-down ability you have to worry about – the midfield is sometimes a team's most dangerous area of play. This is due to the fact that midfielders can do it all. They can jump up on the rush and launch a powerful offensive onslaught or deep shot. Simultaneously, they can help you turn the ball over or cut off an attack on your own end. They're a dual threat and evidently a big component of your team. So, if you're looking for fresh faces to fill the role, we've got you covered with the best midfielders in FIFA 23 right here.

6. Heung Min Son

best midfielders

Heung Min Son is the first name on this list of the best midfielders in FIFA 23. Playing Wide Man for Tottenham Hotspurs, he's one of the best players in the league at midfield. With an 82 in Ball Control and an 86 in Dribbling, Son has a confident four-star skill rating. Match that with his 85 Acceleration rating and it's easy to conclude that Heun Min Son knows how to move around defenders and get a well-placed shot on net. In fact, it's one of the key elements of his game.

In terms of shooting, Heung Min Son has an 88 in Shot Power, an 89 in Long Shots, an 87 in Curve, and a 90 in Finishing. As a result, it's evident that Heung Min Son is a hidden menace in the midfield who can break past defenders and power a scoring chance home from a distance. So, if you need a midfielder who can boost your front end, Heung Min Son is the guy for the job.

5. N'Golo Kanté

best midfielders

On the other hand, what if you need a shut-down midfielder who won't let the ball get past halfway? In that case, you may be interested in N'Golo Kante. In FIFA 23, the Chelsea defensive midfielder has an 88 rating with the potential for an 89. While that is an excellent overall rating, we are looking for defensive prowess. Fortunately, Kante has an 85 Slide Tackle and 92 Stand Tackle rating. As a result, he doesn't exactly make it easy for the opposing offense to break through at midfield.

4. Neymar Jr

best midfielders

Neymar Jr is a midfielder that needs little to no introduction. That's right, to no one's surprise, the Wide Man for Paris SG makes this list of the best midfielders in FIFA 23. The highlight of this player's game is his pure skill. Sitting at a five-star skill rating, and one of the only players in the game with it, Neymar is a mastermind at breaking past defenders, and his individual stat ratings reflect that.

Neymar has one of the highest Dribbling ratings in the game, at 95, and a Ball Control rating of 94. What's more, he has a staggering 93 in Agility. With that in mind, simply get the ball to Neymar's feet and he'll find a way to get it on goal or set up a teammate for a scoring opportunity. He's one of the most dangerous midfielders in FIFA 23 and someone you should have on your team.

3. Mohamed Salah

best midfielders

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's Wide Man, is a versatile midfielder who can do it all. Set at an 89 overall rating, Salah is a great addition to the rush with his 92 Finishing rating and “Finesse Shot” trait. Safe to say, if Salah gets a good look at the goal, he's not taking it for granted. Despite being a well-rounded athlete, Salah excels offensively. Having said that, he possesses the physical characteristics and game sense to be a contributor on defense too.

2. Kevin De Bruyne

One of the most notable players in the midfield, we have the Manchester City Central Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne – one of two midfielders with the potential for an overall rating of 90 or higher. He's a true playmaker and one of the best in the game at moving the ball. Bruyne has a Crossing rating of 94 and a Short and Long Pass rating of 93. As a result, if you see a gap between the defenders and a striker with an opportunity to exploit it, and Bruyne has the ball, there's no doubt he's getting the pass through.

So, if you have a stacked striker lineup or guys with a high finish rating, you'll want Kevin De Bruyne to give them as many scoring chances as humanly possible. Evidently, that's the main reason why we consider him one of the best midfielders in FIFA 23.

1. Lionel Messi

Of course, who else would we have sitting at the number one spot for the best midfielder in FIFA 23 other than the legend himself, Lionel Messi? Not only is he the best midfielder in the game, but after winning the World Cup, he may be the best player to ever play the game. Straight up, you will not find a better midfielder for your squad than Messi.

From his touch and agility to his finishing power, Lionel Messi is a threat every time he touches the ball. In fact, he's such a threat at midfield you most likely don't need a slew of strikers as Messi sort of suffices. As a result, with Messi on your squad, you can focus on stacking your defense so that your team is a threat at both ends of the field.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our picks? Are there other midfielders in FIFA 23 you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

The phrase “defense wins championships” is an adage that applies to all sports. The phrase “defense wins championships” is an adage that applies to all sports. So, while everyone craves the glory of offensive success, if your defense isn't up to pace, you'll most certainly lose that lead as quickly as you gained it. As a result, there is no option but to build a strong defensive core in FIFA 23. However, if you're not sure which players to build your defense around, then keep reading because we have compiled a list of the best defenders in FIFA 23 for you right below.

6. Antonio Rüdiger

best defenders

Starting things off we have Antonio Rudiger, the 30-year-old Center Back for Real Madrid. His overall rating in FIFA 23 sits at an 87 with the potential to reach 88. While that may not seem very high, it's just a couple points shy of the other best defenders on this list. As a result, if you get Rudiger, don't hesitate to put him in your lineup right away.

Antonio Rudigers' has a Slide Tackle rating of 84 and a Stand Tackle of 87. Mix that with his 90 overall for physical strength and you're looking at one of the best defenders in FIFA 23. Safe to say, if any strikers want to get by this defender, they'll either be getting a card or have to sacrifice their body trying.

5. Kalidou Koulibaly

best defenders

Sitting in Left Center Back for Chelsea, we have Kalidou Koulibaly. With a rating of 87, Koulibaly posts slightly better stats than Rudiger. He has a 93 for physical strength, an 86 Slide Tackle, and an 89 Stand Tackle rating. As you can see, he is just a step higher than Rudiger in these departments. However, where Koulibaly really takes off is with his sprint speed. With an 88 Sprint Speed rating, Koulibaly is the one you want defending against the game's fastest players, such as Kylian Mbappe.

4. João Cancelo

best defenders

At first glance, Joao Cancelo may not seem like one of the best defenders in FIFA 23. His Slide Tackle sits at 79 and his Stand Tackle at 83. Furthermore, his strength is a whopping low of 62. So, you may be asking yourself how Cancelo will help improve your teams defense. However, defense isn't always measured by physical aggression or the player's ability to take out their opponent's feet.

What Joao Cancelo excels at is his ball control, stamina, and acceleration. As a result, you can always count on Cancelo being back to support your netminder. He rarely gets lost out of position or stuck behind the play for that matter. So, if you need a shutdown stay-at-home defender who can keep a high intensity for a full 90 minutes, Cancelo is your guy.

3. Rúben Dias

Next up we have the right center back for Manchester City, Ruben Dias. In a similar vein to our first two entries on this list, Dias has a great Slide Tackle, Stand Tackle, and physical strength. Dias is also one of the only defenders in FIFA 23 with the potential to achieve a 91 overall rating, although most of the time you'll see him as an 88 overall.

A key feature of Ruben Dias is his ability to contest corner kicks with his 87 Heading rating. So, if someone goes up for a header, Dias will be right next to them, sacrificing his body to make a great shutdown defensive play. That is the kind of defense that will help you win championships.

2. Marquinhos

Marquinhos is a Left Centre Back for Paris SG with nearly a decade of experience. That's why it's no surprise to see him boast the second highest Slide and Stand Tackle of all defenders at 89, respectively – most even keel rating of all defenders. His expertise also gives further reasoning to his 89 Interceptions and 88 Reactions rating. Safe to say, Marquinhos is a mastermind when it comes to the defensive side of the ball.

So, if you're looking for a player who can help improve the performance of every player on your back end, Marquinhos is one of the best defenders in FIFA 23 for it. He is an outright team player and wants nothing more than to see a big fat zero on the scoreboard at the end of the game.

1. Virgil Van Dijk

Virgil Van Dijk is the first name that should come to mind for everyone when thinking of the best defenders in FIFA 23. Despite being hard stuck at an overall rating of 89, you won't find a player who will do more justice for your back end the Dijk. He has an 86 Slide Tackle and the highest Stand Tackle of all defenders at 91. What's more, he has a 93 Strength rating and 88 Heading ability. As a result, he combines the best aspects of all the defenders in this list into one.

So, it's no secret Virgil Van Dijk is the single best defender you can get in FIFA 23. That being said, you'll have to get pretty lucky to get him on your team, if not give up a big piece to acquire him. However, when it comes to a defender of this caliber, the trade-off is well worth it. Especially since we all know that “defense wins championships,” and this is a player who will make that a reality.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our picks? Are there other defenders in FIFA 23 that you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

Strikers are a crucial component of any team, whether you're playing HUT, Ultimate Team, or FIFA 23 Career mode. Because even if you have the best defenders and midfielders, you still need the offensive firepower to put them in the back of the net. That's why we've compiled this list of the best Strikers in FIFA 23. So, if you need to boost your goal-scoring potential, these are the best players for the job.

6. Lautaro Martínez

best strikers

Kicking things off, we have the flourishing talent out of Inter in Italy, Lautaro Martinez. The striker starts off with an overall rating of 86 with the potential of 89 in Career Mode. Set with a 4-star skill rating, Martinez highlights are his relentless aggression, volleys, and outside foot shot. So, not only is he a lethal threat that will attack the goal, but he'll also help set up more opportunities for everyone else on the pitch too.

He may not be one of the top five strikers in FIFA 23, but he's still an easy top 10 pick and is amongst the best strikers in FIFA 23. So, if you have the opportunity to add Martinez to your team, we strongly advise you to do so since this is one striker you don't want to miss out on.

5. Erling Haaland

best strikers

Speaking of flourishing talent, especially youthful, we highly doubt Erling Haaland needs any introduction. The rookie striker debuting out of Manchester City is already one of the best strikers in FIFA 23 with a starting rating of 89 with the potential to climb to 94. Haaland, on the other hand, only has a 3-star skill rating. However, that's because skill maneuvers and juking out opponents aren't the focus of Haalands' game.

If you manage to snag this striker, you'll want to give him as many scoring opportunities as possible. The reason for this is that Haaland has a 94 Shot Power and Finishing grade. As a result, this striker's highlight is his cannon of a leg. Give him a chance in the slot, and he won't waste time finding the back of the net.

4. Harry Kane

best strikers

An absolute legend of the sport and another guy who needs no introduction is Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane. Hard set at 89 for his rating, Kane is a veteran with over 10 years of experience playing against the league's best. All around, Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in FIFA 23 and someone that will improve your entire front end.

That's because, as a veteran, Kane is an excellent leader with one of the greatest Football IQs in the game. As a result, he'll help raise everyone's level of play on the offensive side of the ball. So, if you're looking to get more goal-scoring opportunities, Harry Kane is one striker that will undoubtedly make that happen.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo

best strikers

Unfortunately, a face we will not be seeing in at least the next couple of iterations of the FIFA game is Cristiano Ronaldo. The reason being, Ronaldo sold his soul to go play in Dubai. As a result, it's your last chance to get to play as or alongside one of the best strikers known to play the game.

Although he may not be putting up the ratings he once did in former FIFA games, that doesn't detract from the fact the Ronaldo is one of the best strikers you can land for your team. Without a doubt, he has the best overall ratings across the board and is able to do a bit of everything, even make those highlight-reel plays every now and again.

2. Robert Lewandowski

Despite being 34 years old, Robert Lewandowski is still competing with the league's newest and youngest talent. The FC Barcelona striker has astounded fans with his scoring abilities, from Heading and Shot Power to Finishing and Penalties. His biggest traits lie in his finesse, outside foot shot, and distance shooting. As a result, Lewandowski is the player you want on the field at crunch time.

One of the highest rated strikers in FIFA 23, Lewandowski sits at a 91 rating in Career Mode and has an impressive 4-star skill rating. Just don't expect him to be knocking the ball off some of the game's younger and more fit strikers, since his physical attributes are his only weakness. Still, that's not stopping him from putting the ball in the back of the net, as Lewandowski always seems to find a way to make it happen.

1. Kylian Mbappé

To no one's surprise, the French talent Kylian Mbappe is ranked first among the best strikers in FIFA 23. Not only is Mbappe the best striker in the game, but he is also the fastest striker, with the highest sprint speed. Send Mbappe down the stretch, and you can bet he'll beat his opponents to the ball. Then it's just a matter of putting a nicely placed shot on goal.

Unfortunately, Mbappe's drawback is that his shooting stats aren't as outstanding as the other strikers on this list. That being said, he still has an impressive Finishing rating of 93. So, while the goals may not all be pretty, they'll still find their way to the back of the net. As a result, when it comes to individual performance and production, Mbappe is one player who is great at getting the job done himself.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our picks? Are there other strikers in FIFA 23 that you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

Battlestate Games Escape From Tarkov is a realistic and ruthless military simulator. As a result, it typically punishes novice players or overwhelms them with the amount of content to digest. Fortunately, the latest Tarkov wipe, which resets everyone to level one to restore the balance of gear and level the playing field, will take place sometime in August 2023. A new wipe is the ideal time for newcomers to step into the game. So, if you're going to get into Escape From Tarkov for the first time at the start of this wipe, you will want to know the best tips for beginners in this list, which could save your life.

5. Scav and PMCs

best tips for beginners

The first thing that usually confuses new Escape From Tarkov players is the distinction between Scavs and PMCs. Essentially, a Scav is a playable NPC that loads into an already running raid. Scavs are pre-set with a subpar loadout that can consist of anything from a pistol to a shotgun. You're more than welcome to load into a raid as a Scav, and if you like your loot, you can just leave the raid, or stay in and search for more. Just note, when you play as a Scav, other AI Scavs won't shoot you. Your only target as a Scav is PMCs.

PMC stands for “Player Main Character”. This is the character you will load up with gear from your inventory, which you have obtained from raids. As a PMC everyone is your enemy. If you die as a PMC, you will lose all of this gear. You can, however, “Insure” your gear before entering a raid for a fee, which returns any loot left on your body 24 hours after death. So, if your body doesn't get looted you will get your weapons and armor back. If it is looted, then you pay a fee to get nothing back. It's a bit of a gamble, but we strongly advise insuring your gear every time you go into a raid.

One of the best tips for beginners is to play as your Scav as much as possible. By playing as a Scav you can explore maps with less stress of dying and losing your gear. Furthermore, it's a great way to learn the maps, which can be confusing at the start.

4. Extracting

best tips for beginners

Regardless of whether you load into a map as Scav or PMC, you will need to extract to exit the raid. There are several extracts for Scavs and PMCs distributed around each map, but they mainly rest near the map's perimeter. You can find out which extraction points are accessible to you by double tapping “O”.

While Escape from Tarkov tells you what these extracts are, it doesn't tell you where you can find them. As a result, before you embark on a raid, one of the best tips for beginners is to load up a map with the extract locations on Google. That way you will know where to go when it's time to get out of the raid, instead of panicking and running all around the map looking for your extraction point.

3. Life-Saving Medical Tips

best tips for beginners

Escape from Tarkov is serious about its gunplay, but it is equally serious about its healing. Tarkov has a very complex healing system in which different ligaments can be wounded in various ways and require specific medical supplies to mend. So, to save you time from figuring out what each medication does the hard we, you can consult this chart to learn what each med item is used for, and which injury effect it removes.

One of the best tips for beginners is to employ a strategy known as “Pre-paining”. This involves taking a painkiller before entering a combat zone or anticipating a fight. This is done to avoid your character from being unable to walk owing to a broken leg or from being unable to aim due to being shot in the arm.

2. Bullets and Armor

New Escape from Tarkov players typically overlook the type of ammo they use for their weapons. But, with over 100 different ammo types in the game, not all are going to be as reliable as others. As a result, one of the best tips for beginners is to learn which ammo types are best at piercing the six different levels of armor. The higher the bullet's Penetration Power, the more likely they are to pierce higher levels of armor. However, you can turn to this guide for a better reference of which ammo types are best to use for each gun.

The major problem here is that ammo is costly, and you don't always get to use it all. So, you may be tempted to save your money by buying cheap ammo, but don't. It took us a long time to realize how much more successful you are by using decent ammo and how many more fights you will win with it. At the same time, you don't want to cheap out on the armor you use. With stronger armor, you're much more likely to survive a fight or last longer in the fight and not get one shot.

1. Overcoming Gear Fear

best tips for beginners

There really is an endless amount of tips we can give beginner Tarkov players. However, the biggest challenge that all players eventually have to overcome is gear fear. Because obtaining gear and goods, and selling them, is how you monitor your progress in the game, you may be skittish to use your good gear in fear of losing it right away. However, you're going to have to learn that loot comes and goes – this is the Tarkov way.

As a result, the best of all tips for beginners is to push past that gear fear. You won't have any luck, success, or make any progress by using poor gear, or sitting in a bush and avoiding conflict the whole raid. That's why you must become comfortable with pushing toward shots, taking the fight to other players, and not being concerned about losing your stuff. It's the best way to shake your nerves, improve at the game, and increase your current gear with better stuff. The more you enforce this in your gameplay, the more comfortable you will get in high-pressure gunfights.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our tips? Are there other best tips for Escape From Tarkov beginners that you would suggest? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

Despite the fact that PlayStations roots are based in North America, that isn't preventing the gaming company from taking strides globally. Sony Interactive Entertainment Shanghai had the pleasure this year of presenting Phase 3 of the PlayStation China Hero Project a couple of days ahead of Chinajoy 2023, which runs from July 28 to July 31.

Essentially, PlayStations China Hero Project helps Chinese developers reach global markets via PS5. Phase 3 of this year's project took place on July 26 and showcased a number of new Chinese-based games that will be making their way to our shores. While there are a lot of exciting games to check out, one that has captured our attention, and the attention of others, is Exiledge.

As a result, we couldn't help but dig up everything there is to know about Enigmatrix's latest project, Exiledge, which appears to be a unique action-adventure TPS with a variety of elements at play. So, if you want to learn more about the game, read on to find out!

What is EXILEDGE?

Exiledge

Thankfully, Exiledge developers Enigmatrix have already done the hard work of introducing the game themselves. As a result, here is Enigmatrixs' overview of the game:

“EXILEDGE is a next-generation high-speed third-person shooting game. This game is created by Unreal Engine, integrating shooting elements and action elements into a new form of combat gameplay. It shows a fictional fantasy from the perspective and cultural context of Chinese developers, with a unique world view and narrative style. The world view is set on a planet covered only by the ocean and constructs. The player acts as a young “tower diver” with a mysterious past. Deal with enemies in the huge and mysterious constructs, and start a thrilling adventure. The project will bring global players a unique immersive experience with multiple shocking theme wonders and refreshing operation feel.”

Story

Exiledge

Although not much information has been released about Exiledge, we do have a general idea of the storyline. According to the Exiledge game page, you play as Alter, a youthful protagonist who “embarks on the adventure to uncover the destiny of the world built by Zora.” Fighting alongside the mysterious girl Zora, you will “search for the truth of this universe and the opportunity to save the world in an eternal cycle.”

Unfortunately, that's about all we know about Exiledge's narrative, which leaves us with some unanswered questions. For starters, who is Zora and what's her place in all this? If we had to guess, we would suspect she's withholding some pivotal points in the plot, which we'll gradually uncover as we play. What's more, we want to know what eternal cycle this world is in and why we must put a stop to it. Regardless, Enigmatrix is doing an excellent job of piquing our interests and making us want to learn more about the story.

Gameplay

Exiledge

Something we don't see too often is games blending two mediums together to create an entirely new experience. However, the year is 2023 and it's time for games to shake up the conventional standard. That is exactly what Enigmatrix is doing with Exiledge's gameplay, as the game doubles as a TPS with roguelike hack-and-slash combat. “In EXILEDGE, experience the unique combat system on the base of TPS with hack and slash.”

As a result, it appears there will be a variety of elements at play in terms of combat. Fusing a combination of guns, hero abilities, and slashing weapons all into one. You can get a good glimpse of the gameplay action in the Exiledge gameplay trailer that released a couple of months ago. However, you get an even better look in the more recent ChinaJoy trailer, which we have embedded just below the Development section. Nonetheless, Exiledge's gameplay looks relatively unique and we're excited to see how it comes together.

Development

As previously stated, Exiledge is being developed by Enigmatrix, which is a video game studio located in China's Suzhou Industrial Park. According to the studios' “About Us” page, Enigmatrix “focuses on the advancement of game R&D technology and the exploration of artistic paths, and is willing to explore new boundaries of artistic expression in games with all of you.”

The company's slogan is “Exploring the boundaries of artistic expression in games,” and based on what we've seen so far, Exiledge will be a fantastic title that fully exemplifies that ambition. Especially given they're using the powers of the new Unreal Engine as the framework for the game.

Trailer

YouTube Video

The latest trailer for Exiledge was shown at Phase 3 of PlayStations China Hero Project. It's the trailer we have embedded above. But, you might also want to check out the other gameplay trailer for Exiledge, which released a couple of months ago. In either case, both trailers do a good job of displaying Exiledge's potential to be a stand-out title for PlayStation.

Release Date, Platforms & Editions

Despite our efforts scouring the web, we can't find anything pertaining to Exiledge's release date. Or a tentative release window for that matter. So, there's really no telling if the game will come in 2023, 2024, or even later. Nonetheless, because Exiledge is sharing a bed with Sony on this one, it's a guarantee Exiledge will release for PS5. At the same time, however, that also implies the chance the game will be a PlayStation exclusive. If that's the case, it won't release for PC or Xbox Series X|S, however, that is purely speculative.

Lastly, we don't know anything about game editions yet. However, if we had to guess we-imagine pre-order promotions and incentives will be in play shortly before launch – whenever that is.

That's everything we know about Exiledge. Nonetheless, stay tuned to Gaming.net as we'll be sure to provide any updates and news on Exiledge when it sheds.

So, what's your take? Are you excited about Exiledge? Will you be picking up a copy when it releases? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!

Fall Guys is an endlessly entertaining battle royale in which beans of all shapes, colors, and sizes compete on various obstacle courses for the pinnacle Fall Guys crown. While Fall Guys offers a great variety of maps and modes in its roster, we're always in search of new experiences. Fortunately, Fall Guys Season 4 introduced Creative Construction, which allows players to create their own levels. As a result, we've compiled a list of the best creative maps in Fall Guys for you to try out. So, whether you're looking for a refreshing experience or simply want to hone your skills, we've got a selection of creative maps to suit everyone's preferences.

8. Woosha Warehouse

Kicking things off with a great map to get the joysticks warm, we have Woosha Warehouse. Posted by Reddit user @lainilly, Woosha Warehouse provides a nice linear challenge that throws everything your way, from moving platforms to sweeping arms and even boxes being hurdled at you. So, if you're just starting your session, Woosha Warehouse is a great map to do it with.

7. Forest Frolic

Since Only Up has been getting a lot of attention lately, we thought we'd bring you a vertically challenging map of the same nature in Fall Guys. Forest Frolic, created by @FallGuy5648 on Reddit, is one of the best creative maps for putting your skills to the test. For this map, you must parkour your way up little platforms to the canopy of this gigantic tree, where the finish line sits. Make one little mistake and you'll fall to the bottom and have to start all over again. So, if you're having trouble controlling your nerves, this map will assist you in performing under pressure.

6. Happy Bean Beat Street

Best Creative Maps

Don't be deceived by the name; Happy Bean Beat Street is no walk in the park. This creative map, made by Reddit user @Disastrous_Ad3106, focuses on navigating narrow balance beams that are surrounded by obstacles. As a result, timing is the name of the game in Happy Bean Beat Street. So, if those swinging hammers and wrecking balls are wreaking havoc in your game, then Happy Bean Beat Street is one of the best creative maps for mastering them.

5. QR Maze

Best Creative Maps

The best part about Fall Guys' Creative Construction is that maps don't have to follow the traditional layout – or any layout for that matter. Therefore, we beans have complete creative control over building new maps. One player that utilized this creative freedom is gooslimg @ Reddit with their QR Maze map, which is one of the most innovative maps we've seen in Fall Guys.

The QR Maze, as you might think, is a perplexing maze in which you must find your way to the finish line. That is the standard challenge, but you can also step it up a notch. Somewhere in the maze is a hidden path that leads you to eggs you need to rescue, adding another layer to the challenge. As a result, this is one of the best creative maps in Fall Guys if you're searching for a new experience that isn't all jumps and dives.

4. Conveyor Climb

Another novel approach comes from Reddit user Prestigious-Yam-7340's Conveyor Climb map. Using only conveyor belts surrounded by obstacles, this map will take you all the way to the top, as long you can stay on the track. may appear simple at first glance, but it's a one-of-a-kind challenge that requires you to position yourself inches from sliding off the map in order to maneuver around some obstacles.

3. Need For Speed

Best Creative Maps

The Need for Speed map by Paullynaz on Reddit is the closest thing you can come to a rollercoaster in Fall Guys. Utilizing a ton of fans, slippery slime, and bouncy pads, the Need For Speed map is like a racetrack that sends you flying through the course. You don't have to do much on your end as you pretty much get propelled through the entire track. Regardless, it's one of the best creative maps for a fun race with your friends.

2. Trivial Encounters

If you consider yourself a Fall Guys pro and find all of these creative maps to be a walk in the park then it's time to put your skills to the test in Trivial Encounters. Posted by Reddit user Indian_assassin_007, Trivial Encounters is a sweaty map that will challenge even the most veteran players. For this map, you have to utilize obstacles in a way you most likely never have before. Furthermore, in order to complete the course, you must thread the needle through a tiny window at the finish line.

1. Ninja Training Course

The Ninja Training Course easily takes the number one spot for the best creative maps in Fall Guys. If you thought the last map was a challenge, then you're in for a whole new beast with the Ninja Training Course. To best this course, you have to execute flawless jumps, grabs, and dodges from start to finish. Safe to say, there is no room for error here. So, be prepared to take on a chaotic cluster of obstacles like you've never seen before in the Ninja Training Course.

So, what's your take? Do you agree with our top five? Are there other creative maps in Fall Guys you think are best? Let us know in the comments below or over on our socials here!
