The RPG genre is one that allows players to delve into worlds of varying scale and scope. These are worlds designed to slowly immerse the payer within their character, as well as the general goings-on around them. This allows developers to create RPGs with their own distinct style and take on the genre itself. This is great for players, as this greatly improves the number of choices available to players for one small fee. So without further ado, here are our picks for the 5 Best RPGs on PlayStation Plus.

5. Haven

The cooperative nature of the game really lends itself well to the gameplay as a whole. This is a story that takes a familiar formula and does some surprising things with it. Players are thrust into a fantastic world on a forgotten planet. This serves as a strong opening to the game, and the gameplay reinforces the bonds between not only the game's main characters but the players as well.

One of the strongest aspects of Haven is its narrative, which is sure to grip players right away. This is only aided by the game's fantastic art style, which helps it stand out among the other amazing titles on PlayStation Plus. This is wonderful, and the player's sense of choice and freedom in the game is definitely palpable, making this a must-play RPG. All in all, Haven is a game that is definitely worth experiencing and one of the best RPGs available on PlayStation Plus.

4. Neo: The World Ends With You

For the next entry on our list of the best RPGs available on PlayStation Plus, we have Neo: The World Ends With You. This is a title that for RPG fans, might have flown under a few players' radars. This is hardly a bad thing, however. As it simply means they will be able to experience it for themselves at a later time. The beautifully stylized world of Neo not only benefitted from its genre-blending soundtrack. But manages to immerse the player in its wonderful action combat. The story for the game also does a fantastic job of grabbing the player's attention right away.

This makes already makes it a game well worth experiencing in its own right. However, it is the amount of content and the quality of that content that truly set this game apart. However, the developers behind this wonderful title didn't stop there. Rather than rest on their laurels, players are able to unravel the mystery surrounding the Reapers' Game as well as the game's characters. Additionally, this game has an absolutely phenomenal genre-blending soundtrack that is sure to impress. All around, this is one of the best RPGs on PlayStation Plus.

3. Children of Morta

Switching things up quite a bit for our next entry, here we have Children of MortaChildren of Morta is a game that is not only praised highly for its art direction and design but its fundamental game mechanics as well. Rather than being a fantastical adventure, however, the game centers around more grounded matters, but manages to do so in a fantastical way. This gives the game a sense of grounding found in very few titles. This allows the player to immerse themselves within the world, as there are many elements grounding the experience.

The emotional connection that players will come to grow for the characters is impressive. This is due to the phenomenal writing within the game, as well as a commitment to the world's lore. Having an active and cohesive lore system gives Children of Morta‘s world and characters a sense of grounding that would be difficult to craft otherwise. The environments are also varied in the game, keeping it from feeling too similar at points. In conclusion, Children of Morta is one of the best RPGs that can be found on PlayStation Plus.

2. Bloodborne

For our next entry, we have a title that RPG fans will no doubt be very familiar with. For those unaware, the Dark Souls series, and by extension, Bloodborne, have crafted a world all their own. The beautifully stylized and gothic Yharnam has taken on somewhat of a larger-than-life stature. This is in no small part due to the amount of love and attention that has been poured over every cobble of its dank and blood-soaked streets. Even further beyond this is the love and attention that was given to the game's lore and characters, which are some of the most well-fleshed out in RPG history.

This is to say nothing of the stellar gameplay, which now since being included on PlayStation Plus, allows players to experience it smoother than ever. This is great, as it brings the best of what the game has to offer players. Players are able to choose from a wide array of weapons and are rewarded for a more offensive playstyle. This makes this experience more accessible than other Souls titles for many. To conclude, Bloodborne is not only one of the finest RPGs on PlayStation Plus but one of the best RPGs to date.

1. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

Wrapping up our list with a game that has served to revitalize an entire franchise and its community, we have Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. This is a game that takes the beloved Final Fantasy VII and gives it a fresh coat of paint. Additionally, there are quite a few overhauls and changes, to modernize this class experience. For example, players can choose to opt into the game's more classic turn-based combat. Or, players can revel in the beautiful action combat that has been built from the ground up for the game.

No matter which way you play, each experience feels fantastic. Additionally, this game features story content that is exclusive to it surrounding one of the game's characters. This makes it an RPG with tons of content to explore. This content also feels especially fresh due to the implementation of many new systems.
