It pays to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber at the beginning and end of each month. As per usual, they roll out three new free games for the month and typically announce them ahead of time so gamers can get ready. However, we have the inside scoop on the free PlayStation Plus games for July and there's a good chance you'll want to play them all. Nonetheless, the three free PlayStation Plus games for July are Alan Wake Remastered, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Endling – Extinction is Forever.

Although these are leaks, and have yet to be announced on the PlayStation Blog, they are rarely wrong. As a result, we're quite confident these are three free PlayStation Plus games for July. And let's hope so, because this is arguably the strongest trio of free games yet. With a great Remaster, a classic FPS entry, and an emotional tearjerker, the PlayStation Plus free game lineup for July has you covered across the board. Even better, they are all up for grabs on PS4 and PS5.

Where To Start?

If you haven't played the original Alan Wake, then we highly recommend the remaster. That's not just because it's a great game, but it's also coming in at perfect timing. The sequel, Alan Wake II is set to launch October 17 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. It's one of the most highly anticipated sequels set to release this year, so might as well jump on the bandwagon before it takes off.

Aside from that, if you have the time, we highly recommend Endling – Extinction is Forever. This indie game casts you as the world's last mother fox. Your sole mission is to survive the harsh and brutal world while attempting to keep your kin alive. We're not going to lie: it hits you right in the feels. But, if you're looking for a relaxing and emotional game to play on a lonely night, this is a great choice.

Aside from those great story-driven games, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a great title to mix in some FPS action. Nonetheless, those are three free PlayStation Plus games for July. And, with all of them being excellent choices, your biggest challenge will be deciding which one to start with. Alan Wake, *Cough, Cough*.
