If you're looking for a wild west adventure, the obvious choice is Red Dead Redemption II. This sequel to Rockstar's open-world wild west shooter has been dubbed one of the most immersive and detailed open-world, RPG, adventure games of all time. And that's not all smoke and mirrors; it truly lives up to all the hype and glamor surrounding it. There is truly no surface left unscratched in this title, as it has checked all the boxes to deliver one of the most immersive adventure games available on PS5.

Despite having a main story, this game is rich in side missions, character lore, and memorable dialogue that will amaze you. Seriously, Rockstar went all out, with over 300,000 different animations and over 500,000 lines of dialogue. The scale at which this game meets to immerse you in its world is truly astounding, and we couldn't possibly cover all of the elements even if we dedicated an entire book to it.

What might entice you the most is the fact that you can recruit your own bandit camp and command your team of outlaws on missions. Whether that's for personal gain or giving back to your people. Just be aware, if you're an outlaw, there will be wanted posters out with your name on them, and other hunters hungry to claim your bounty. Aside from that small slice of the pie, there are a million other angles and aspects to explore in Red Dead Redemption II. Evidently, why it's one of the best adventure games you can experience on PS5.

3. Wild Hearts

Wild Hearts - Official Gameplay Trailer

Wild Hearts is one of the latest adventure games to release for PlayStation 5. It can most be compared to the Monster Hunter series, however, in Wild Hearts, you hunt massive monsters infused with natural elements, known as Kemono, in feudal Japan. So, put your big boy pants on because some of the grueling beats in Wild Hearts are on a colossal scale.

However, you will not be fighting these goliaths solely with your sword and steel. Wild Hearts includes a variety of Karakuri's, which are traps, attacks, and devices that can be used to immobilize, puncture, and defeat the monsters. This adds a unique angle to the monster-hunting action and allows you to strategize each Kemono fight in a variety of ways. Overall, Wild Hearts is a goliath monster hunter adventure that will have your heart racing with each fight.

But, what's often the case with the series' heroes, is that they frequently have to forego their reward in order to keep it from falling into the hands of evildoers.
