Maskmaker Unmasks This April for VR Headsets

The VR Gaming space is littered with puzzle games and it would be a tough challenge to stand out. That is exactly what the new title from the developers behind the award-winning A Fisherman's Tale has done. InnerspaceVR and MWM Interactive's Maskmaker is a VR game that fans of the genre should keep an eye out for and will be releasing on April 20.

Maskmaker is a mystical puzzle game where players take the role of the apprentice of the maskmaker, Prospero, the powerful leader of the mask realm. In his workshop, the player will learn the craft of making these magical masks which have the ability to transport them into different worlds in the mask realm. Players will be able to carve masks before applying them with paints and other adornments (which are all found scattered around different worlds). These worlds, called biomes, each have their own different cultures and guardians whom players can possess by copying their masks. Throughout their journey through the mask realm, players must uncover the truth behind the identity of the elusive Prospero.

Maskmaker will be available on April 20, 2021, on Oculus Rift S, Quest (via Link cable only), PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, PC VR via SteamVR. While the game will be released digitally for multiple platforms, there was an announcement that there will be a physical copy of the PSVR version of Maskmaker, courtesy of Perp Games. The physical edition of Maskmaker for PlayStation VR is due to be released on 18th June 2021.
